There has not been any comments posted following Hurricane's message on the 2nd Div Snooker Results page on 29/09/06 regarding the Church 2nd team not turning up at Prestwich Cons? Does this mean that the Cons will be given an 8-0 score? Is this the case? If so, can somebody from the Church comment on this and maybe give an explanation to the other 2nd div snooker teams in the league as to how and why this happened? I would imagine that there won't be many other 2nd div snooker teams taking so many points from the all conquering Church 2nd this season. |

Normal practice is that the match is replayed at a time convenient to both teams and usually suggested by the home team. We had 9 players available that evening due to various work commitments, holidays, etc. and Cons were called at around 5pm on the evening of the game, with apologies given. If Cons try to claim the game, they can have it as far as I'm concerned, but they certainly won't be cut any slack by us in future. I'd always rather play a game than claim it, but not everybody thinks like that. |
