Just A Thought For The Future; separate billiards and snooker leagues

Just a thought at the moment, not even a proposal, but would it be possible to have separate leagues and indeed league systems for billiards and snooker? If billiards is struggling in popularity by comparison to snooker, but those who enjoy it want to play as much billiards as snooker, maybe we could look at what would be in effect a set up where you play each other twice at snooker and three or four times at billiards.

i haven't even considered formats for either, but compared to the old days where everyone pushed out two teams in each every week regardless, the sport is less popular; something that the bowlers will have noticed too with us moving down from 4 to 3 divisions in the Prestwich league over the last 8 years or so.
