Dungeon Crawling

In addition to the warring and skirmishes, I think we should have some old school dungeon crawling in search of treasure and glory. Not all of them would be just for those, however, as we can have story-line quests where you go look for some magical anomalies and artifacts, or other knowledge from past ages. Each dungeon would be full of hazards and rewards, maybe even some puzzles and not just fighting. The biggest dungeons could even consist of multiple separate maps if necessary.

But what kind of enemies should we have in the dungeons? Perhaps for one set of dungeons, we could have a group of tomb raiders looking for the same things that you do, and for one or a few we could have an ambush lying ahead, but we can't have human enemies in every single one of them. Maybe we should consider some sort of creatures created by magic, and maybe some sort of robots guarding a place left by the ancient technological civilization.

As for other hazards: crumbling floors, collapsing ceilings, trapdoors, pressure plates, spike traps, dart traps, gas traps, explosive traps, acid traps, lava traps (if we're so evil,) all the good stuff. Any other ideas for traps? What about puzzles?
