Watching the fields for any sign of danger.. Alerting the Alphas of incoming pack mutinies or invasions. Keeping a watchful eye on the pack, and all the dangers that go along with it. Protecting the pack at whatever cost, and being ready to die for the Alphas if need be. Eyes carefully scanning every inch of the horizon.. Prepared for anything. Breathing hastening with each passing noise. Each. Little. Noise. Almost maddeningly silent at times, watch is a time for thought as well as alertness, allowing his mind to wander a bit from time to time, but never putting the pack at risk. Mornings always started the same way.. Reflections in the water that the pack shared, leaving him some time to ponder the many mysteries of his life at the time. Then to the perimeters of the packlands, where he watched like the mighty hawk at the horizon. Waiting. Mentality always in question. Any lasting tragedy from mad himself. However, the pack comes first, and that mentality is the thing that keeps him sane on his watch, despite all the horrors the pack had endured. His coarse gray fur billows in the wind as the smell of the hunters coming back with the kill of the day. He knew the Alphas got first taste, and that was fine. But he couldn't help but think there was more to being in this pack than being a scout. What if he could hunt? No. Too small. What if he could be a shaman? No, too unwise. Scouting work was the best work at this time. And he did it with all his ability. His eye never left the target, no matter what it did. He did his job, and he did it well. This is the life of the scout Wakiza. The Desperate Warrior.
