Deck Building: A player's deck is made up of 3 parts: Party Cards - Cards that assemble the party onto the field. When an encounter begins, your hand will be comprised of only Party cards. Once a party of six fills the field and reserve slots, Party cards will be removed from the deck until a party member faints. Coordinator Cards - Advanced actions that grant a tactical boost to your party. The effects vary, but typically take the form of Echo cards produced when you play a Party card. Coordinator Cards are not drawn unless the player has an active party member. Supply Cards - Supply cards represent items. Pokeballs, Potions, and Berries are all types of Supply cards. Supply cards can be packed into stacks to avoid cluttering. Supply Cards are not drawn unless the player has an active party member. Additionally, there is a ration deck. A ration deck is filled with temporary ration cards which deplete as players explore. They are used in the order they are obtained, but can be reordered however and whenever a player deems fit. Running out of rations can lead to fatigue. Rules of Battle: Roll initiative to see which side plays first. Each player on the same side takes their turns simultaneously. Player Rules - Turn 1: Draw cards equal to your hand size, then play 1 Party, Coordinator, or Supply card. If you have no active party members, you must play a Party card. - At the beginning of each turn, draw a new hand equal to your hand size. - You may adjust the number of active party members. This will not take up an action for already active party members. - You may swap an active party member with a reserve member. This will take up an action for the swapping party members. - You may play 1 Party, Coordinator, or Supply card from your hand. - You may declare the actions of each of your active party members. - When your last active Party Member faints, you lose. Encounter Rules - Turn 1: Play a number of cards from the top of the deck as specified on the Encounter card. - At the beginning of each turn, play a number of cards from the top of the deck as specified by the Encounter card. - Determine the actions of each type of mob. - When you no longer control any mob creatures, you lose. |
