The students of DWMA stood outside of the academy, awaiting the reason as to why Lord Death had called them to the courtyard. The announcement had been that "There was a very grievously overlooked detail when conducting school activities and that it was to be put right this afternoon.". Nobody was told anything else and fairly soon the rumors had begun to spread. "I heard that one of the students is a murderer!" Whispered a bespectacled young weapon. "Well I heard a bunch of kishen were let in and they're going to rout them out today." Muttered a blonde meister, greeted by several gasps and shudders. "No, i bet Lord Death is going to kick us all out and make us register all over again..." Said the large meister with grey hair. "That would suck!" replied dozens of his peers. Then suddenly... The air rippled and the courtyard fell silent. A dark presence descended from the high tower in the center of the Academy. The skies darkened and the air chilled. None of the students had ever felt this pressure before, and many began to panic. The figure glided down and absolute silence reigned. "HEY!" Came an entirely too cheery voice, "Welcome to DWMA Orientation! Im your headmaster, Death!" He held his hands out with a goofy smile on his skull face. The students were silent. "Well, dont just stand around! Get to know each other, after all you guys will be friends for a while!" The students looked around and let the silliness of the situation sink in. "So theres nothing wrong?" shouted a very loud young weapon. "Wrong?" replied Death, "Good heavens yes! None of you are best buds yet! Go on now! Hop to it kiddos!" With this the students looked around and one by one they started to single out one another to become "Best Buds". |

Vincent was already upset that he had to stand around with a bunch of idiots, like an idiot. But when that joke of a headmaster descended from his little perch up yonder he nearly lost his cool.Kids had been muttering and whispering all day about stupid rumors and crazy stories, each one even wilder than the last. A bunch of fictional garbage. And these types of people were supposed to be his teammates. His allies. His best buds. best buds? HA! These kids have no idea what they're doing and im supposed to just tag along? Fat chance. Vincent wasted no time finding a nice corner in which to plug in and listen to his music. Fox didn’t like these people, but he wasn’t stupid either. He knew that he would have to get a new meister sooner or later and after this there would be dozens of teams forming. Such is the nature of huge social gatherings. He wasn’t going to simply resign himself over to some buffoon though. There had to be at least one person here who could handle him. It had to be someone strong, not just any old idiot with a half a mind to be a hero. Especially not a hero. "Screw heroes." he muttered, "No place for them anymore..." He wandered over to the spot, brushing off a dozen weapons and meisters who tried to get his attention. Looking like a complete ass and not caring, Fox escaped the chaos and started to scan the crowd for his meister. So far, nobody seemed worth his time. Edited by -Vinny-, Jun 13 2013, 09:52 AM.

Mouse looked around, everybody seemed to be chatting with everyone and not a single soul was left for her. Being so short, not many noticed her and so she had to push her way through the crowd to find someone to talk to. “oh hi, I’m-um..“ the random person Mouse tried to introduce herself to didn’t even turn around. After a couple of minutes Mouse became discourage, “what am I thinking; no one can physically see me. I’ll just find somewhere to sit and let someone come to me if they feel like it.” She then proceeded to push through crowds once more until she came upon a corner that everyone seemed to have their backs to. Someone else appeared to be searching through the crowds, a tall blond man. Even if he’s nice, he won’t see me so there’s no point in worrying if he’ll shoo me away. Mouse thought and pushed onward towards him. Edited by -Vinny-, Jun 12 2013, 10:02 PM.

Fox was busy scanning when he noticed this... girl approaching him from the crowd. She looked nearly as alone as he did, but not for a lack of trying. He had seen her go unseen for nearly five minutes before she gave up and joined him in his corner of the yard. He didn't much care for her being near him, but he knew that he had to talk to someone. So why not this girl. It would be a few minutes of her... whatever it is that girls talk about and then he could go back to training. She was really close now so he removed his headphones and threw her a smile. Hoping that at least for a moment he could hide the coldness of his heart. Didn't want to scare her away just yet. "Hello. You not into crowds either?" he asked her. "Personally they make me itch so I just steer clear." This girl, has... strange eyes. He reached for a cigarette, but thought against it. He only had two left. |

Mouse looked at the tall boy and chuckled, “Haha not really, it’s a bit difficult to get through them at my size plus they’re too loud for me.” Mouse surveyed the boy, taking in everything she could tell about him in a few seconds before opening her mouth again. I can smell the smoke on him a mile away, judging by his heart rate that smile is not genuine. At least he’s trying to be nice. Mouse held up her hand, “the name is Mouse Collins. You might as well get to know the worst of me first so here goes: I don’t like anything loud, spicy, bright, smelly or rough, all because I’m a sensatory meister. And yourself?” Mouse smiled. |

Fox, to put it nicely, didn't care. Not in the slightest. But he was "nice" right now so he smiled and nodded. "I cant say i like any of those things either. But a sensory meister, that's fairly impressive." he said. His mind thought for a moment on weather or not a sensory meister could be of use, but his thoughts turned quickly to her weak physique and obvious weaknesses. "I dont think I could stand to be so in tune. It would be nearly impossible to drown out all of the ... distractions." the words he would have preffered were "fools" or "idiots". But of course he was in character. Idiots like them. Fox noticed a young asian girl making a fuss over to his left, and for a moment he wanted to see what it was before his apathy set in again. This time focusing in on Mouse. her eyes are just so... familiar... "You ever use those abilities in a real battle?" He asked, hoping to get a feel for this girl. Inquiring much more than he usually did in these situations if only for the hell of it at this point. but almost certainly because she interested him as something new interests a child for the first time. Tommy joined the awkward party a little late. well at least the 72 got its new water pump in, and it looks like i didn't miss much. He look around trying to get the situation at hand, but no one really interested him. He then started to walk around the outskirts of the crowd He passed a blond men and a little lady in the corner, but they didn't really interest Tommy. after a complete lap around the crowd, still nobody interested him. God maybe this is a waste of time, I need to get accustom to the Angels of the school, some of those have seen better days. couple of kids stop to talk to him, but small talk isn't the best choice for people who really aren't interested in a tall boy who looked out of placed. He wanted to head for the exit, but something inside him made him stay for awhile longer. one more walk around then I will leave |

Rowan waited in the courtyard with the many other students of the DWMA, arms crossed and leaning against the low wall that enclosed the otherwise open space. The announcement of a grievous error had riled up the masses, but Rowan knew better than to get excited. The students’ mutterings grew in volume and intensity, and Rowan heard one of them say something about a kishin. He strained his ears, hoping to catch the rest of the rumor, but that seemed to be all the students knew. Rowan smiled in spite of himself, and wondered if they were referring to the incident in Champa. I wonder how they heard about that, Rowan thought. I didn’t mean to set that field on fire, but that damned spider… The sudden hush caused by Lord Death’s arrival pulled him from his musings. As Death gave a short hello and left a strange impression on many students, Rowan’s smile grew wider. Death had surprised him too when he first met the reaper a little more than three months ago. Rowan wasn’t expecting this charismatic and quirky personality from the great Grim Reaper, but after some thought it made sense. If Death wanted children to learn from him, he couldn’t scare them off. As Death finished his announcement, Rowan looked around for anyone that seemed interesting. No one particularly stood out in the crowd, with the soul exception of a small diminutive girl that couldn’t get noticed even if she had a bomb strapped to her chest. She fought her way through the gaggle of people, eventually gave up and wandered toward a blond man leaning on the wall. He looks menacing, even from here. Rowan was a bit shocked when the two hit off a conversation, to him they didn’t seem compatible. Rowan recalled his own search, but everyone else seemed to have paired up already. Rowan had already resigned himself to the possibility of going solo beforehand, even welcomed the idea, but he would like to make an acquaintance at the very least. Everyone was absorbed in conversation, some students even transformed into weapons to show their new friends what form they took in combat. Rowan tried to strike up a conversation time after time, but everyone either ignored him or was put off by his size. Rowan was starting to get desperate, and even considered trying his luck with the strange two he had noticed earlier, when he saw a big, well, kid, with grease stained pants trying to strike up a conversation with as much enthusiasm as a child at the doctor’s office. He really doesn’t want to be here right now. Who better to befriend? Rowan pushed his way through the crowd, which earned him some angry glances when he got a bit too rough, and made his way to the mechanic. Rowan forced his way through the crowd about fifteen feet behind him, but couldn’t seem to catch up. “Hey!” he called, hoping to get his attention before he got too far away. Rowan drew in a deep breath. “HEY!” |

Tommy stopped its probably someone trying to get someone else's attention. But for some reason he turned around anyways. he was surprise to see a dirty blond hair boy coming towards him. its probably not for me. I bet hes going to someone else behind me.But just as he about to turn around the boy stopped in front of him. Tommy got a little interested if he tried to get my attention i should at least talk to him. Tommy didn't want to start the conversation, in fact the only person he could open up to was his father back at the garage, let alone everyday conversation no one could stand his cold feeling small talk, that is why he spends most of his time in the back working on the Angels then talking to the customers. but this one was different to Tommy for some reason. "yes?" |

At Death's words the crowd of meisters and weapons began to scramble. Daraius found himself in the middle of a torrent of human bodies, throwing themselves this way and that, small talking, bragging, being shy—they were all so terribly average; Daraius didn't mind. “Hi there!” said a particularly plump female meister, “You look like a fine weapon...” her voice trailed off into the crowd, and after about a minute or so Daraius looked back at her and found that she was still talking. “Oh, just what I was looking for!” he exclaimed, sarcasm nearly oozing from his mouth, “A fat meister.” “That's... very rude.” she said, nearing tears. “Hey, asshole!” said a particularly thin weapon, “Why don't you pick on somebody else?” “Because no one else was within range, but I do believe I've spotted some sort of talking toothpick that is in need of picking on.” “Talking toothpick... screw you.” said the talking toothpick. He turned to the fat meister, and said “Who needs this asshole? Let's get out of here, yea?” “No, please stay.” Daraius said apathetically to the toothpick's middle finger as he and the fat meister vanished into the crowd. Who's next... oh, her again. Daraius's eyes fixed on Sylvia; they'd met once before. My sarcasm doesn't seem to work on her... maybe if I stare long enough. And so he stared, attempting to fill her mind with snark.
