PLEASE NOTE- I've moved the old topics to the Hetzner archive area, as I lack the permissions to create a new sub-board for Red Tide's old material and it was empty. I will use this folder as my (personal) archive storage area until me and Clock can sort something more official out. IN THE MEANTIME- Work has begun anew on Red Tide. I'm styling it differently- much more open-world and exploration-based then structured or 'Slice of Life'-y as the old version. Instead of 'Papers, Please', think Metro 2033 Humanity scattered across the stars, few in numbers and workable technology, with infighting frequent as they struggle to survive in the wake of the fall of the great soviet interstellar empire. Meanwhile, an omnipresent Alien authority, dominating most of the area not owned by Humanity, silently plot's it's next move to finish the race of Men once and for all... (Yes, the Aliens are ///much/// more powerful then any of the Humans, even if they were all united. It's a david-vs-goliath scenario, and Humanity knows very little about this great alien race- other then they are determined to stomp out Humanity's last vestiges in some way or another. Why they wait is still a mystery.) I'll post more as I write more. Hopefully, it'll be more enjoyable then the previous version. Anyone interested? |

I'm in! Just remind me when you start doing all of this. School and Live got in the way last time... I did enjoy the old version, however this sounds exciting! |

Just a couple of questions, as to cohesion of multiverse (and subsequently lore). Is this a non Mainstream event? and if no, what sector of space does it occupy? Other than that I would enjoy participation if a slot is open. |

I'm a bit confused about what you mean by "Non-Mainstream"- I assume it means in the same 'Universe' as RUSH (This forum's Flagship RP). If that's what you mean, then i'd say it isn't in the same 'Universe' that RUSH takes place in- This is a separate RPG from all of that. The sector this RPG will take place near Earth, although humanity is a lot more spread out and much we know about the surrounding stars will be lost (Such as specific planet locations or data, etc etc.). Specifically, many of the areas around Earth (50 Light-years in any direction) are known as the "Dead Zone" by the survivors, with no life, no data (Mysterious EMP blockage), and all marginally habitable worlds being blasted into charred ash. Although many of the survivors know the name 'Earth', many of them do not know what planets are in the Sol System, or even what type of planet Earth was. As stated, much of what we know about the stars has been lost and scattered. |

So is it open-world, ie: we have a starship and go explore and stuff? |

Rush_Program takes place in a secondary time-stream, as a split from the Forge Mainstream. The way our Multivers works is this: ______________________Secondaries ______________-Fold <Secondaries Mainstream<-Forge<secondaries ______________-Void <Secondaries ______________________Secondaries This just devolves into 3rd, 4th, 5th and so on. After about 6th layer they become unstable, and as far as anyone knows there is no 10th level. The Mainstream is not accessible to Mortals, nor most immortals. The Fold and Void Kind of are, but that is complicated. All RPs so far take place in secondary or tertiary dimensions/time-streams. The Thing about this is you have to think about it in a four dimensional way because all dimensions are malleable, and can move places. Thirds become fourths, fourths become thirds and so on. Lastly, if this takes place in the same dimension as Rush_Program you have to factor in the Conglomerate, and (Depending on what time period) the very unstable truce between Humans and the Ei'lark'ián Conglomerate Empire. For reference to ground based military: http://w11.zetaboards.com/RUSH_PROGRAM/topic/9926887/1/?x=0#post8122712 Also that means that Casting would play a roll (Though it affects all Forge based worlds) Reference for casting: http://w11.zetaboards.com/RUSH_PROGRAM/topic/9953158/1/#new Edited by SpasticReflex, Saturday, 29.
