Open Space

Space between destinations. Any events that take place outside of planet's gravitational fields are posted here, as well as events that take place during interplanetary travel.

No. No that wasn't right. They couldn't find him, not here, not after all these years of them not caring.

He had to be wrong he knew he had to be wrong, with all that had just happened there was a small possiblity that he was simply overstressed... but his eyes had never lied to him before.

"Watch the shadows!" He bellowed, his vocal pairing deeper than any had heard before, he couldn't hide it, he was scared shitless. If they had sent a Hunter he knew that this victory with the mecanoids would not carry over.

Hopefully this one was just a scout.

His large form cloaked in its own shadow was protected, but the others where not. He pulled from his armour his four largest blades, each identical, each Cast by the same person who had Woven his Cloak.

If he could even catch a glimps of this member he would cut them down, make them bleed the black of the Order. It had been a long time sense he had felt like this.

It had been a long time since he had thought about his second home.

At the man's yell, I dive backward, warping through the nearby shadow. I make a mental note to avoid him. I appear in an empty closet. I sit down chris-cross, and I focus. I've been spotted.. What can I do.. I could go bac- Then the man's words echo in my head. Depressurizing. They're opening the door. Shit. I attempt to focus, and when I try to shadow stride, I just stay in place. Oh no. I take a moment, collecting my breath, and thinking of 'the memory'. Okay. I quickly travel through the shadows, moving back to my ship. When I get there, I feel a headache building. I run torward my kitchen area, complete with a microwave and fridge. I grab my favorite snack, a small mini-bag of cheese-its. I run to the controls, as I eat. I didn't realize how hungry I was. I use my new found RCS abilities to move the ship out of the way of the door, making sure the shadow isn't near the station. He had a cloak. I lean back into the swivel chair, looking at that door.

My only response is a glance over my shoulder and a brief whimper that escapes my mask. I'm only human! I thought as I tried algorithm after algorithm, each pair slowly intersecting and creating another solution, getting me one character closer to hacking the password.
H...U...M...A... many letters missing... 1P0W3R... Huma Lpower? Human... willpower? I excitedly type this password into the console and hoped it would unlock and allow depressurization. While waiting for confirmation, I hear Glickek cry out in horrour and i drew my pistol and sighted down some entity before it disappeared. I was too slow.
I hear beeping from behind me and realize the passcode had finished verification.

"Gryff!" I whine in a remarkably pitiful tone. "I've never tried hacking anything this difficult! I think I need help!"

Simply put, I was lying to him. This was easier than bank accounts and I had already succeeded. What made me uneasy was what was on the other side of the door. I had no idea what could happen when that door opened, and in a ruse, I planned to switch places with Gryff last second so I could ensure nothing happened to him. Then again, this'll be really quick if he doesn't come over here.

(Poor decision.)

"Well, we don't have time to fool around!" I shout back, too concerned about Glickek's declaration of danger to waste any more time.. "If you can't depressurise, so be it. Everybody grab ahold of something- I'm opening the bulkhead.
I spark the two wires together a few times, and with a sudden roar followed by silence massive suction pulls me and the Slavic vigilante out into the debris field. I grab ahold of a large chunk of metal, cling to it as it spins, and kick off back towards the open doorway.

I place a hand to the side of my helmet, drifting back towards the others. "Everyone fine?" I ask over comms. "What was that you were talking about, Glickek?"

"Shadow walker, Either Clouded Path or Shrieking Bolt, but my money is on the former as they stuck to the shadows."
The severity of the situation shifted back and forth in his head as he tried to figure which was worse for a fight with this group.

I cross my arms, then uncross them. I can't eat my cheese-its with my arms crossed. I watch as two figures are flung out into the debris. I consider helping. Maybe. I run over to my bed, taking out my only source of fun, my sketchpad. I tear out a piece of paper, and scribble on it. "Do you want some help? I mean no harm." And I curl it up. I pull on my space suit, cloak outside of the suit, turning the vessel. I align the shadow with the man, warping to him(Gryff). A good enough distance away on another piece of metal. I hold up the sign to him, preparing to warp if he pulls anything.

-What everyone would see-
A woman would appear, holding the sign (the one said above), she has a cloak on above a small space suit. There is also a small bag of accidentally teleported cheese-its floating near her. She'd appear on a chunk if metal a good distance away, easily able to be seen, but far enough to be passive.

Embarrassed and absolutely flushed of all colour under my mask, I frown and growl an absurd response. It was quite burlesque, unlike my usual speech.

"Does it matter what they are, because I see a sign, no weapons and food floating around them. Trick is, to approach with weapons drawn and if she acts up, drop her."

I don't even know where such rough diction came from, I simply blurted it out in agitation. I kick off the console, breaking the screen with the soft soles of my boots and floating through space.

"I Think I can hit 'er but I will be in open space." Preparing to follow through with his word, He Folds, stitching his feet to the wall on which he stood, then he Voided stacking multiple gravities on his own form and the area around him.

4 He smiled, his form starting to strain with the pressure. 5 He bent his knees, body starting to strain against the power of his false gravity.

6...7...8... Pain, he started to feel pain as the seconds ticked by, as the gravities stacked.

9 He was ready.

"Ready." He knew that his CO would know something bad was about too happen. Oh well.

I frown at the sign.
"Go for it," I grunt. If she had no bad intentions, why couldn't she just talk to us? And it was a bit unnerving to see a human floating in space without a suit- not to mention that she was even scaring Glickek, the massive usually-fearless four-armed alien.

I nod, quickly warping back, as I flip the sign over, writing on it. "What do you need? I assume a ship?" I take a breath as I warp back. Why did I forget my suit at my last stop.
