While riding the external shell of the tanks, Kaisa looks back at the direction of the Thing that had been trampling behind them and causing them to flee. She assumed it was no longer in pursuit, but she couldn't fathom why the excessive show of force was necessary.

A flood of relief crashes over Kaisa as she sees the familiar campsite. She hops off the side of the tank and follows Cali to the tent, illustrating exactly what Kaisa had been puzzling about. Her eyes flickered between the two higher-ups. "Agreed. We're not facing any trench warfare here; it's a waste of resources." Kaisa said bluntly. Kaisa doesn't waste any time mincing words.

She peeks outside to scrutinize the current state of the camp. Not under attack by the Thing. "We initially fled because of something large in pursuit. Not Godzilla, but appeared to be hostile. We didn't get a clear look at it." She addresses Bliss forthrightly. "The forest interferes with tech instruments. Your transmission was cut out. Should establish a different system of communication."

Bliss laughs at Kaisa's remark about something 'large' driving them off. "Large? Like a bear, or a moose? That isn't exactly something to be worried about, soldier. You've got that gun in your hand after all. But I guess I should go thank the thing myself for encouraging you all to get your asses back here as quick as possible." he remarks jokingly. "What do you propose we do about the radios, though? Carrier pigeon? It's all we've got out here right now, and it's not like there's much to investigate in the middle of a forest anyhow."

Swallowing back a bitter remark, Kaisa folded her arms over her chest piece. "Just what we observed sir. Nothing to be afraid of perse, but I would like to get an actual look at the creatures out here. Trust me, I'm well acquainted with bears and moose, sir. Aren't the tanks here excessive force if it were only bears and moose?" She stewed silently thinking over their options. "Flares are a good backup."

Suea sat on the body of the tank he had been riding on. He was unsure of who the commander was, but was grateful for the ride. He breathed heavily as he blew some dust out from behind the charging handle on his rifle.
"...I'm well acquainted..." Kaisa's voice echoed from across the way.
"How big is moose?" He asked nobody in particular, goggles sliding down his neck.

"It's about as tall as I am plus about another half of me." Elizabeth piped in for no apparent reason other than to answer the question. "The males have antlers that can grow about a yard wide on each side of the head respectively.." She glances over at the newcomers and tilts her head to the side, then looks at the tanks, sighing as she hears the offhand conversation. "These tanks do seem to be a bit excessive... But I'd rather have them than not."

"You are in command, it's your job to handle the specifics of the arrangement." Cali says, regarding communications. "Just make sure me and my squad are prepared." She pauses, glaring at Bliss. "And make sure you find out what the brass knows. I don't want to die because of information I could of had."

Bliss nods. "Well, you've all been out in the field for quite a few hours, and the sun's already set, so I suggest you all pack up your things for the night and get some rest. We'll be sending out a convoy for the purpose of exploration, so you're gonna need your rest." he says. He points over to a large, insulated tent, similar to the many others set up around the slightly more hospitable camp, before continuing: "That one's yours. I assume Laquan already has some fancy-ass fold-out bed in that limo of his, so don't worry about him. If you need me, I'll be here." He turns around to get back inside his tent.

'Thanks, Sir." She snaps off a quick salute and walks over to the insulated tent. Once inside, she begins stripping and cleaning her rifle. Not that it needed to, but it became more of a ritual for Cali than anything.

"I'd rather have these tanks too," Seua muses. He idly slides the charging handle partway back and looks inside at the shining brass staring back at him. He sighs and catches a glance of Chief walking off to the tents. "Come on, it seems we've been given a break, and no patrol duty. Let's go see what we need to do." He slides off the tank and lands with an eerie lack of noise, and proceeds to walk towards the tent.

Head bowed as he passes through the entrance of the tent, he spots Cali nearby and stands at attention, raising his rifle to quickly salute, then notices there seemed to have been a lack of formality since they arrived, so he lowered his weapon awkwardly. He moves away from the entrance to give Elizabeth room to enter.
"What did the CO say?"

(LATE UPDATE FOR NEURO, DISREGARD)
Bliss turns to Jakob, nodding. He points to the spec ops squad heading for their tent. "That'd be them. Save introductions for later, though, they're beat from working out in the field all day. You should go and get some rest too, you'll be traveling with the rest of them, after all." he says, before pointing to one of the various tents posted around the camp "Beds are over there, unless you've already got a place to sleep in that fancy truck of yours."
