Elizabeth nods towed Swea as he answers, glad that he was able to function dispose all the new information and stimulus this place was giving them. She turns to face the new man as he adresses her but is pulled back by her well-meaning comrade. She couldn't help but laugh at it all. She was used to jabs from her father so his sarcasm didn't phase her in the slitest. She thanked her co-worker for defending her with a nod and walked back to her bed, laughing along the way. Tomorrow was going to be interesting. |

ALL You all lay down and doze off in your respective beds for some time. Before you even begin dreaming, however, you hear the deafening blare of an alarm, and the cacophony of boots quickly stomping across the terrain outside. A soldier peers inside your tent, turning on the makeshift lights, yelling "Get your asses out to the perimeter, and bring your gear! Time's-a-wasting!" before dashing back out and rejoining his peers. Something major was obviously going down, so you better grab your things and run on over to the far side of camp. Elizabeth did as she was told, bolting out of her bed and quickly grabbing her things and racing outside. The adrenaline that was pumping through her body made her ears ring a bit, but she was used to the feeling and continued onward without much pause. As soon as she was able she started putting on her uniform, strapping her handgun to its holster and slinging her m16 over her shoulder. She looked around as she was doing this to see what she could glean about the situation at hand. |

"You heard the man, go, go, GO!" Cali shouts, quickly putting on her vest and kit. Almost instinctively she grabs her rifle and pistol and exits the tent, looking around to see what is going on. She spent many nights in Pakistan like this, by the Afghani border. Marauders would come through and get cocky, she'd go and chase them off.

As the first noise of the alarm hit his ears Ash was up. He threw on his plate carrier and rig, grabbed his shotgun and was ready in about 15 seconds. "Come on !Get busy livin or get busy dying!" He followed Cali out of the tent and scanned the surroundings for threats. |

Suea had fallen asleep with his outer shirt off and revolver still strapped to his thigh. At the first blare, Suea burst from his bed, almost moving to quickly draw the gun from it's protective case. He sees Cali running for the door, and Ash bursting up out of bed. Suea popped on his shirt, zipped it, then slipped into his boots and slung his rig and assault pack on and quickly followed with his UMP. On his way out the door, he grabs and charges his AK in one motion, happy to see he was only a little bit behind Ash, who seemed to be pretty fast. He made no noise as he did so, wondering how military training across the world could be so different– these people were loud and intimidating; shock troopers. He had been trained to make as little noise as he could. |

Kaisa was not a deep sleeper at all. Something about this place unsettled her. It hadn't even been just her military training that had created her vigilance, although they occasionally had alarms when she served with UNIFIL. Ever since her childhood, she'd been taught to be vigilant even in her sleep, spooked by stories of her community members breaking into houses. She hastily strapped on the essentials of her gear, she couldn't possibly fit all of it — thanking she had prepared her pack the night before — and grabbing her LMG and rushing behind Seua. Her eyes traversed the camp, searching for any engagement or any possible threats as she ran towards the perimeter. |

ALL The landscape that the soldiers had seen before was nothing like it was. The snow was melted away and replaced by a hellish, charred terrain. It was as if a warhead full of napalm dropped out of the sky and covered the land in a red blaze. But that was the least of it. Charred corpses clad in armor, armed with medieval weaponry lay about the field. It seemed as though some of these apparent combatants were still alive, but you could only tell by their screams in the distance. Soldiers rush out into the charred battlefield. Bliss is nearby, and he looks to your group. "I don't know what the hell caused this, or who they are, but go and look for survivors!" he yells. Before you can stop to react, you see a column of fire rise out from the center of the flames. Followed by... A face? It continues rising, reaching a colossal, vaguely humanoid form as Bliss and your fellow soldiers look on in horror. ![]() "Get the heavy armor over here, right now!" he quickly radios as tanks begin to roll up to the perimeter of the camp. You'd thought you'd been prepared for everything when you went through your training. But nothing could have prepared you for this. Edited by TheTraveler, Thursday, 2. June 2016, 15:19.

Jakob closes his laptop at the commotion in slight distress, clueless of what is taking place outside the van. He hastily pulls he gasmask on and dons his gloves nefore opening the doors, gazing into the infernal landscape in the distance. "Quickly, get the cameras, I want this documented and the hazmat team geared up ASAP!" he yells to his team, this was something he had never seen before, he was told of the prospect of megafauna existing in this new land, but this was beyond his wildest expectations. |

Staring up in horror at the creature made of fire and the dozens of dead bodies around her, a thousand thoughts ran through Kaisa's mind — how did no one see the growth of the fire before, what the fuck is that, where did all these people come from —but one word stood out to her. Perkele. She maintained her steely demeanour, nodding her head in acknowledgement of Bliss' orders. She glanced around for further orders. She hardly knew these people; but she could hope that she could cover their back and them cover hers. Weapon at the ready, she looked around for survivors, cautious of the monstrous column of fire's next move. Megafauna, my ass — that's... not a bear or a moose.
