Perplexed, Cali slowly lowers the cooler to the ground. "No thanks." She says, puzzled. "I'm going to go and talk to the commanding officer."
This whole thing was raising more questions than it answered.
Are you new here? Do you need help? Do you have questions? PM me!

I make clicking noises with my mouth and light up a cigar.
"Take your time."
I turn to the Finnish looking officer.
"So what do you think this thing is my dude? Looks like a hecka rad time if you ask me! Cherry Vodka?"
I hold up a bottle.
I wish to get off Mr. Bone's Wild ride.

Valentin stayed behind for a moment, with Prawn Laquan. "I'm Chief Petty Officer Manakorn," he begins. "I'm asking you to refrain from consuming alcohol in this area." While the grammar was not incorrect, the slight difference in wording was a bit jarring.

"Hecka rad?" Kaisa frowned. She struggled to translate the English slang, but decided the lavishly-dressed man meant it was positive. "... Yes. Hecka rad. Modern art?" With her arms folded and more seriously, she answered, "Clearly a gateway; door of some kind, with architecture reminiscent of the renaissance era but has unidentified elements from other periods." Kaisa observed. "Otherwise, I'm not sure."

Kaisa's fingers twitch at the offer of cherry vodka, knowing Americans were much more abrasive rather than a genuine offer. Was she really a Finn if she turned down alcohol? "I'm afraid I'm on duty." She replied coldly.

I close the cooler, a disappointing look on my face.
"The party don't stop!" I say, handing the cooler to one of the security officers, who walks back into the limo with it.
I grab a Coca Cola and pop it open, drinking it.
"Anyways, when do we start the fun time?"
I wish to get off Mr. Bone's Wild ride.

Taking all this in, Elizabeth developed a look of confusion.

"I don't understand..." She says scratching her head, "Forgive my rudeness sir but... why exactly are you here? You don't seem to have any tacktical training and I'm not sure if you could handle yourself well at all in a combat situation, cunsidering your intoxicated state." She gives a small salute, "I mean no offense."
If you want my best, you must give me time in return.

horrible thing

A tall, young soldier stands on the hood of a military jeep, his voice booming over the rest as he yells "Attention!" as every soldier in the vicinity snaps to him, giving a salute and standing perfectly still, giving a unanimous "Sir!" in response. "At ease, soldiers." he says, as they all resume a more relaxed position. He quite obviously was the commanding officer of whatever operation was taking place here. "I am Lieutenant Bliss, and I will be leading operation Gatecrasher." he says, introducing himself. "As you may or may not be aware of, we are here to investigate what is on the other side of that." he says, pointing to the large, out of place structure you laid eyes upon but a moment ago. A few soldiers look around in a confused manner, and he responds quickly. "I know, this seems ridiculous. I would have said the same thing over a month ago. But this is serious." he says, quite serious. What did that building have to do with anything? "That structure you see there appeared last December. No one knows where it came from, how it got there, or why. Our scientists are baffled, and none of them can explain it. We've sent drones inside, and every time, the signal was cut off. Completely. They were not recovered. There is also writing of unknown language, never seen before, inscribed in the archway over the door. Linguists from across the globe couldn't relate it to anything." he says, continuing: "If you still have doubts, or can't take this seriously, then maybe this will convince you. During it's initial manifestation, two citizens went inside to investigate it." he pauses for a moment, before finishing. "They still have not returned." Several soldiers look around, whispering among comrades. Others laugh, finding the whole thing ridiculous. "The point of this operation is to venture through the Gate, to see if anything, or anyone, lies on the other side, and to retrieve the two citizens who went missing less than a month ago. We will be departing in 10 minutes. Gather your equipment and prepare to move out. Dismissed." he finally finishes, as several soldiers salute and reply with a "Yes sir!" before scrambling to gather everything together. You suppose you should do the same, or perhaps ask any questions, if you have any.

Upon hearing the commanding officer of this operation I had payed to be a part of announce the start of the operation, I quickly duck back into my hummer limo and order it and the two Security Humvees to line up and prepare for gate entry.
This plays inside the Limo:

Heins, having been silently listening to the others throughout the duration of the mission so far, makes his way to the jeep he arrived in, grabbing his pack and sliding his weapon to the ready. He then moved to ghost the group. Unsure of where exactly he was going. Or whome with.
I think there's a bug in the code...( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Elizabeth reluctantly gets back in the car that drove her here. What was the point of getting out? They could have briefed her in the car. She pushed these feelings aside however, because her main focus was the mission. At least she knew what it was now. She folds her arms and bows her head once she's in her seat, attention to clear her mind so she could function at full capacity.
If you want my best, you must give me time in return.
