KAISA and SILVER
Kaisa'a attempt to display peace doesn't appeared to have worked. The villagers continue to talk among themselves angry, accompanied by the occasional threatening shout in the soldier's direction. Conveying your intentions with the language barrier you and your fellow soldiers had would be rather difficult, on top of the fact that the group probably looked extremely alien to them. Amara steps ahead of the soldiers, gesturing for all of you to stay back. Amara's presence seems to draw the attention and confusion from the townsfolk. They shout questioning sentences in their unknown language in Amara's direction, to which she responds back casually. They seemed to be conversing about something, but what it might be exactly was a mystery, and some seem to recognize her and call her by name, creating only more questions. Amara seems to be speaking in a calm, reassuring tone, so it could be inferred she was trying to gain their trust for Kaisa and her comrades.

OTHERS
Nyx grabs Jakob's hand as she hops down from the APC's door, before looking to Cali with confusion. "What do you mean? I just took on one of my many aliases. What is a Greek goddess?" she asks in a perplexed tone. Meanwhile, Amara has left you behind while you've been chatting and seems to be yelling at the townsfolk up ahead.

"Nevermind, it doesn't matter." Cali snaps, exiting the APC. She looks down into the village and sees Silver and Kaisa interacting with some villagers. Kaisa had proved effective at communication, though Cali had her doubts of silver. After all, his lineage was questionable.
She walks down into the settlement, her rifle slung over her shoulder. "Report." she says to Kaisa in a hushed tone.

I walk near the Villagers, hands raised in a friendly gesture.
"Hi there kids, I'm Silver Laqaun, very powerful. Show us to the head of the town, the king, the queen, the big man. I want to see him. I have powerful magic, don't try to trick me!"
I wiggle my fingers in the villagers direction, then pull out a flashlight and wave it around. I turn to Kaisa.
"Check this out, they'll be bowing any second, it'll be like 3PO and the ewoks."

"Shut up, Corporal!" she barks. She marches over to him and looks him in the eye. She begins speaking in a quiet tone with clear frustration dripping from every word. "You better get your ass in line right this second. You are not qualified to conduct diplomacy with these people. This could shape the rest of all interactions between Earth and this world. I do not need you fucking this up. Do you understand me, Corporal?"

I laugh slightly and turn around to walk away, waving as I do so.
"I was just leaving sir- ma'am. I'm sorry to interrupt our diplomacy with these poor rotting peasants. I'll keep my eyes out for anyone not busy having the plague."
I walk back to where the other soldiers are standing, and scan the villagers with my thermal sensor to determine if they are diseased or inhuman.
I wish to get off Mr. Bone's Wild ride.

"Hell if I know." Kaisa responds to Cali, updating her on the state of the mission. Communication and diplomacy wasn't so much Kaisa's forte. She didn't talk much at home, let alone with a gigantic language barrier. "We need a translator. The suit of armor, maybe?" She eyes Silver with suspicion as he begins playing music. The genetic destiny of the Laquan line was to be as unbearable as possible for this group, wasn't it? She attempts to tell Amara to place a translation spell, motioning with her hands and her mouth.

"Good idea." Cali nods to Kaisa.
She radios the APC's driver. "Send the suit of armour down, Leofric is his name. Over."
She looks at Silver. National Guard, no wonder he had the discipline of a fourth grader. Calling Cali "ma'am" when her insignia clearly displayed the chevrons of a NCO; the US must have a hell of a time training these kids.

I search the area for some kind of pub, eager to get off the streets before the invasion force passed through.

JOEL
Though you couldn't read any of the signs in the town, there appeared to be a rather large building with a hanging sign depicting a mug and plate of food. Rather generic, but it got the point across. As you approach, the wooden door suddenly swings open as a woman dressed in an apron peers outside in your direction, cautiously gesturing you inside as she speaks a few unintelligible words in a worried tone.

SILVER, CALI, KAISA
The villagers react threateningly as Silver interrupts Amara's conversation with their bunch, prodding in his direction with pitchforks and tossing a few (what sound to be) insults, before Amara shouts them back down in an authoritative tone. Several moments pass as their conversation continues, and the villagers seem to be less tense than they were previously, before finally lowering their guard as Amara continues to speak. The villagers look speak among themselves as if trying to come to a consensus on something, most likely whether or not to trust you, before one of them, an older looking man, steps forward and nods his head, mumbling something that sounded to be apologetic. The group disperses, but generally remains around the entrance to the village. Some of the villagers continue to cast threatening or suspicious glances, but it's not as though you could blame them for being distrustful.

Amara notices Kaisa's vague request to be capable of speaking with the native townsfolk, gesturing for the group to gather around her.

JAKOB
Nyx drags you along to catch up with the others who are now blocked and obscured by a large group of soldiers who've poured out of their APCs, making it difficult for the both of you to see over the tall mass of army members around you. "Bear with me a moment-" Nyx says as she hops up to grab onto your collarbone, swiftly climbing up to rest her feet on your shoulders, nearly knocking you over in the process without any regard for your balance. "-There." she says, leaning forward to get a better look at the situation, proceeding to give a play by play of the events that unfold up ahead, commenting on Laquan angering the townsfolk, Cali telling him off, Amara's diplomacy, and the villager's agreement to allow the military into the village.

With guns, ammo, and gear jingling Joel leisurely steps into the bar and gives the matronly woman an uncertain look. He was taken aback by being beckoned inside before even so much as knocking on the door, but he wouldn't argue. As much as he wanted to go take a seat and buy a drink with some of the 'primitive money' that his employer had given him a small quantity of (precious stones, pieces of gold and silver, a few chunks of platinum, etc), he figured he should await this woman for further direction, seeing as she had ushered him inside and all.
