Suea returns the binoculars to his assault pack, hoists the bag off the ground onto his back, and checked to see if the AK was charged. He falls in behind Chief and follows her into the forest, careful not to tread on sticks or loose rocks.

Kaisa follows behind the staff sergeant, but decides to bring up the rearguard. As they head into the valley, she takes occasional EMF readings, looking for signs of life. "I would assume the gate has different ..." She struggled to find the correct English word. "... spatial gateways." She mused quietly, to no one in particular. "Otherwise, we'd see signs of life from the people who wandered in previously." Her eyes flit to the ground. The snow on the ground would normally be a dead giveaway. She checks her compass and takes notes on the direction they're heading.

Suea's gaze moves back to Kaisa, to see who was in the rear and what she was saying. He doesn't hold a gaze to avoid stepping on strange things, but when he glanced back he followed her eyes as she looked at the ground and he felt utterly stupid for not checking the blanket of snow for signs of movement earlier.

"That may be, Kaisa." She says, her boots crunching on the snow. "Maybe time flows differently here." Cali muses. "But let's not get caught up in this science-fiction thought here." She says, scanning the area. "Or not caught up in it before we have to be."

Upon the orders, Elizabeth follows silently, observing her surroundings as she pulls out a pair of gloves and a hat and putting them on. She thought it best to remain silent, to focus on being vigilant in case something strange came their way.

EVERYONE

Looking around at the snow, it seems you're the only signs of life here. Strange, considering there were obvious signs of an ecosystem due to the forest you now approach. You walk for a few minutes before finally reaching your destination. The trees appeared to be... Deciduous? Despite the harsh cold conditions, it seems the trees have not shed their leaves, and are in fact, still alive. A mutation of the species perhaps? You cannot tell without further inspection.

Me and my security guards begin looking ahead of the group for any animals to shoot. I turn to them with a grin.
"100 dollas to either of you if you bag a big ass big beast you feelin' me."
The security officers nod and begin combing the trees near them for any prey.

Kaisa takes the initiative to inspect the trees, taking note of its bark, roots, leaves, and any anomalies in the trees. "Is it early fall, or late winter here perhaps?" She looks ahead into the forest, but is interrupted by the rich man's interjection. She frowned, attempting to trade exasperated glances with the rest of the squad.

"Stop stop stop!" She barks out sharply and steps in front of the security officers. "Do not disturb the wildlife! We do not know what inhabits this place nor we do know the properties of this ecosystem yet!"

"Laquan, we are not a hunting troupe," Seua begins, irritatedly. His faltering English does not impact his mounting annoyance. "Call them back and stay in formation. Nobody knows what is out here, it's dangerous." He continues in a louder voice, "and I'm certain that you wouldn't want your own security detail to die due to carelessness?"

PRAWN
Your security guards begin combing the trees, stepping into the forest. After being told off by the squad's members, they haven't returned, nor responded in any manner.
