Scion Remnant: When the Maw struck, any Scion survivor that was not in stasis or under in a special condition was cut off from the collective. Over many decades, they began to procreate and started taking on their natural form as their bodies recycled synthetics to help with regenerative processes. Now, nearly a completely different species, the Scion remnant think and operate like many other individually minded sentient species. They still have a lot of metals and minerals in their body, but this is natural and helps them stay resistant. There is an incredible amount of diversity in Scion appearance, but generally the males (lower caste) have rounded heads and the females (upper caste) have wider, flatter heads, and the Matriarchs (commanding caste) have no gender and have tall, ornate heads and dark skin (as opposed to the general pale skin of Scions). The Scions, retaining some of their highly-evolved ancestor's traits, are extremely adaptable to new body parts/processes, and are capable of incorporating cybernetics/prosthetics directly into their bodies. Of course, because of this, a Scion with armour soon adapts the armour to become its outer skin. A scion queen has not been born since before the Maw struck. ![]() (armour-bound male) ![]() (examples of an average male) ![]() (armour-bound officers, male) ![]() (male bonded with ceremonial armour) ![]() (matriarch) (armoured male) ![]() (armoured female) ![]() (female cybernetics/prosthetics implant surgeon) BIOMETRICS: As metal-oxide-based lifeforms, Scion Remnant have been nearly impossible to study, and scientists still speculate as to how after mere generations after their disconnection from the Collective such drastic genetic variances came to be; Scion DNA is almost impossibly complicated (four RNA strands per DNA helix, containing twice the information as human DNA and nearly impossible to decipher) and seems to account for the majority of the unique functions of the Scion body. The most scientists can speculate is that the Scion originated from a high-temperature environment where carbon-based life could not survive. Scion typically drink nutrient solutions from tubes, high in common metals as well as silicon and silicone. Their bodies process such nutrients, such as iron sulphides, to build its metallic structure and ensure lasting resilience. The Scion, while born soft, will as a result develop a metallic carapace as they age, their cells building cytoskeletons and cell walls of metal and metal-based proteins. Metals and some synthetics that carry prolonged contact with the 'skin' of a Scion will begin to become incorporated into the host body. As such, Scion aristocrats will decorate themselves with gold ornaments or decorative plating, while soldiers become fused with their armour and chemical workers permanently encased in their environment suits. Scion appear to be partially anaerobic or at least highly atmospherically resilient, able to survive for a period in vacuum without assistance. They also seem to be able to survive for a period longer in methane- or argon-based atmospheres than other aerobic species. This too is speculated to have originated in a high-heat environment where most oxygen would be consumed in oxidization and would require the life to rely far less of it. Scion have chloroplast present in their bodies, giving their 'skin' the slightest green tint from the trace chlorophyll found within. It is speculated that this source of energy helps fuel secondary chemical reactions within the Scion's body, allowing them to survive on less-than-substantial oxygen. Scion still retain some of their collective mentality, often preferring to live and work together in communes, and will communicate with one another through a range of odd tones and clicks not understandable by other cultures. The Scion can produce and hear ultrasonic noise, as well as a smaller degree of infrasonic noise- however the lack of any highly-developed ears (relying on the vibrations of the acoustic 'plating' on their heads) keeps them safe from becoming bothered by the cacophony of city life. Crustacites:![]() ![]() The Crustacites hail from an aquatic world somewhere next door to the local quadrant. Capable of holding their 'breath' for near 36 hours, they have been able to adapt to living amongst air-breathers, provided they have access to certain living areas designed for them specifically. They are incapable of cross-breeding with any other species and have an extremely low sex drive. Edited by Hjorthorn, Wednesday, 6. November 2013, 11:15.

Drath:![]() The Drath have an unimpressive history, and are valued for their work ethics. One can often find them overseeing workers at ports, and doing a fair amount of work themselves. They are also valued as berserks (berserker plural), with an unusually high muscle-mass for their humanoid frame. Entil'eh: ![]() ![]() (armoured) The Entil'eh, despite their thin frame, are exceptional fighters and highly aggressive by nature. They have an extraordinarily high metabolism, and they process information far faster than the average brain, making them exceptional learners. Their bodies regenerate at a very high rate, making cybernetic enhancement very easy for them. Edited by Hjorthorn, Tuesday, 19. November 2013, 10:15.

Scove:![]() ![]() These beings come from a system on the outer most reaches of the milky way galaxy. Few venture off of their planet, and even fewer stay off of their home world. They are rare, but not unheard of, and usually find their way into the underground. They are larger than humans, but other than the deviation of the forearms they are humanoid. They are both Mammalian and warm blooded the average body temperature around 106°f. The average height ranges from: male; 2.5m-3m. Female; 2.3m-2.6m. Edited by SpasticReflex, Wednesday, 9. The Drones: www.keiththompsonart.com/images/full/lineworker.jpg The Drones, named for their insect-like need to work, were the working caste of a civilization lost long ago. Two species lived side-by-side, the Drones being the hands and the other race being the head. However, the management race was killed off by a disease, leaving only the Drones. They continued to build aimlessly, keeping the uninhabited ruins in pristine condition and endlessly expanding, eventually dismantling older buildings to create maintain newer ones. They were discovered by a colony ship, and brought back to Alliance space to be analysed. The Drones were integrated into Alliance life, being outfitted with modern machines and adapting to serve individuals or management groups. Drones are often found in factories, working ceaselessly. They do not feel hunger or pain, and if any of their fleshy parts break they are simply replaced with flash-cloned parts. They can be used in combat or as a companion, but they require a 'master' to give them commands, as they have limited will and independent thought. Edited by Hjorthorn, Monday, 2. Ogus: www.keiththompsonart.com/images/full/soldier.jpg The Ogus, an inquisitive race fascinated by technology, have a habit of extensively modifying themselves with cybernetics. Despite their thinness, they are fairly durable due to a two-layer carapice, consisitng of a green outer shell and a fleshy-coloured softer lower shell. They have high metabolism and must eat frequently, but they are very fast. Ogi are similar in performance to the Entil'eh- but with higher reflexes and agility- though they are easily distracted and do not have the same capacity for bloodlust. Thoroughbred: They are a rare artificial race that is bred from all strains of the Conglomerate. They can take any shape, but they are always larger. They are an apex predator that has been bred for war. Their brains are constructed to follow orders from leaders in the Conglomerate, but every hundred thousand comes out of the mind control process unaltered. These are referred to as Rouges and are hunted down and killed by the Conglomerates assault fleet. Biologically they are the perfect form in the eyes of the conglomerate, their only flaws being hypersensitivity to sound and being extra venerable to Casting. Sentient Thoroughbred are one of the rarest forms of life and all of them are powerful external casters. (If you wish to play as one contact either Clock or myself (reflex) for details on the Conglomerate.) Edited by CHIISAINeutrino, Wednesday, 18. December 2013, 19:57.

Reborn Scion: These Scion are the last of the original collective, and have set about rebuilding the former empire. While lacking a Queen, they search Citadel furiously for their old technology and are trying to rebuild their forces. Their collective mind is cold and calculating, and they have a strong desire for vengeance against Humans and the races that were part of the former Conglomerate. Reborn Scion are fairly genderless, and do not know of the existence of Remnant Scion. ![]() Scion Overlord: A reactivated Scion general, operating an experimental body. ![]() Former Scion Queen: The inactive body of the Scion queen, which is constantly tended to by devout Reborn workers. ![]() Scion Drone: A worker/scout Reborn Scion, basically their slaves and cannon fodder. ![]() Scion Brute: A stronger variant of the Drone. ![]() Scion Guardian: A Scion robotic unit, leftover form before the war, usually assigned to patrol or guard duty. They have no organic parts. ![]() Scion Reaver: A scion unit built to operate as a tank, as opposed to the literal tanks they used in the First War. Edited by Hjorthorn, Wednesday, 9. The Requital (Wrath):![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() An incomprehensibly ancient race, the Requital, or Wrath, were 'birthed from the forge' as legends say. They had a vast interstellar empire, ruling across multiple galaxies and multiple strands as a police force preserving a variety of cultures from other ambitious conquering groups while trying their best to not interfere with the development of races they ruled over. Respected as deities to countless cultures, the Wrath were so in-tune with the forge that they could effortlessly manipulate matter from it to craft their armour, structures, and the like from. They also created the Maw, as a fail-safe should any group rise against them, but the Maw took its directive too seriously and killed off the Wrath, as well as any other race that exceeded the tech level it was built to allow, and has continued doing so to this day.
