A group of people, scattered across London, go about their daily lives, unknowing that soon they would all be embarking on an adventure together.

Silently, Erik straightens his overcoat as he walks down the terminal towards the Train at Charing Cross station. He sighs slowly.
Almost three years to the day ago, he had been dishonorably discharged from his position of standing as a Colonel in the 5th Bavarian Infantry Regiment. He'd refused to give the order to fire upon a crowd of rioting hungarian innocents, denying direct orders from his superiors. "A matter of security", they called it. More like a matter of tyranny.
He managed to find his way out just before the German ban on Air travel sealed the borders, winding up in London a few months ago out of work. Up until now, he'd been doing whatever odd jobs to stay alive, never staying in one place for over a couple weeks or days out of fear of the British government catching up with him. He'd probably be deported if he was found out.
Luckily for him, that wouldn't happen.
Straightening his old Officer's cap, he checks his Pocketwatch as he boards the train to the Dockyards. 1:13.
Right behind him, three others boarded as well, handing their tickets to the stationmaster. He'd overheard scraps of their conversation, that they needed crew. He'd spent several years honing his skill in the Danzig Military Academy, learning to operate many different types of weapons and learning to analyze and talk his way past any of his professors. Maybe today, he'd finally get a job of some sort.
Unbeknownst to them, he had been following them since they left Oxford.

He silently sits at their cabin as they file in. Turning his head up slowly, he looks at Gryff, staring right through him.
"You have Verk?" Erik says with his slight, yet fluent, german accent.
"Perhaps I vould be of assistance.."

As I speak with the German, I notice the face of the prick from the college on an arriving train. "Oh, for th' love of God..." I mumble, turning back to the man.
