There were many children out in the small yard. Some played on the slide and swings, some played tag. Others were getting scolded by the teacher for roughhousing.
There was one, however, that seemed perfectly content with sitting in the shade at the table, coloring in a picture of a cat with a ball on yarn between its paws.

He was one of the few amongst the other orphans that had honey-toned hair, possessing lovely candy green eyes to go with it.
Rin glanced up from his coloring, swinging his legs under the table in no particular rhythm.
He almost wanted to go play, but it was hot out and he didn't fancy the feeling of his clothes sticking to him from sweat and humidity, so he'd wait until it cooled down.
Until then, the blond decided to stick with his coloring, pleased with the job he was doing of staying inside the lines.

The good thing about taking a walk around the block is that they didn't have to bother with disguises.

Shinya's smile had become plastered on his face as he walked hand in hand with Hideki through the small streets of the community. As usual, he slowed down along the fences of the city kindergarten.

The kids were playing games everywhere, yelling and exclaiming in delight as they engaged each other in friendly competition. The teacher nearby beamed at the two adults outside.

"Do you like kids, sirs? I've seen mister here take walks often. Would you like to have a look around?"

Hideki smiled at the teacher.
"Yes, please, ma'am." A small wink that made her blush. "We are actually here to look for a new family member. You see, we are getting married soon and the plans is to have atleast one child in our care. We have a lot of freetime, so the child will never feel lonely."

She nodded at them as they walked around, showing the interior design of the kindergarten and the orphanage.
"We have many orphans here, but there is one - Rin - who have been here the longest. He's a little older than the rest and it's preventing him from getting taken in. Many people prefer them at their youngest, sadly, to mold them after their own morals and standards."

"Rin..." He squeezed Shinya's hand. "Why don't you call him over, miss?"

"Rin. Rin! Would you come over here for a while, dear?"

The blond head popped up once he was called. Of course, the teacher was in the other room, a small, quiet one while he was in the playroom with other kids.
Nonetheless, it sparked his curiosity.

Rin trotted over, careful to step over any toys that laid on the floor. Face planting onto the multicolored carpet was not on his agenda.

"Yes?" He answered, his eyes trained on the woman for a moment before they spotted Hideki and Shinya.
His head tilted to the side, and he shyly took a step behind the teacher. However, big green eyes were still settled on the couple. Of course he was curious, but he also wasn't quite sure how to respond to the situation.
The woman gave a lighthearted laugh.

"It seems somebody is a little shy,"

"It seems," Shinya laughed, throwing back pink-streaked locks. Going down on one knee he gave Rin a bright smile. "Ha-ji-may-mash-te, Rin?"

That didn't work quite well, but he hoped the kid got what he was trying to say. Shinya didn't want to scare him, after all. Prussian blue eyes stared back over his shoulder, up at Hideki.

Rin was adorable. Shy, but the way he held himself was admirable. Shinya liked him already.

The teacher gave Rin an encouraging pat on the shoulder and ushered him close to where the pair was. "Now, Rin. I'd like you to meet our visitors today. What about saying hello?"

He was almost like an exact replica of Shinya, even the face and his posture, except that Rin had green eyes.

Adorable!

Hideki squatted down, holding a relaxed pose, being careful not to make any sudden movements.
"Hey there, Rin. How are you?" His voice was calm and held a warm tone. "I am Hideki and this is Shinya."
A hand over his partners. "I heard that you are quite the lonewolf, so I'll let you in on a little secret - I am a wolf too. Want me to howl?"

The teacher was silenty observing the, not wanting to disturb their interaction, and from what she could see, it was going well.

His cheeks flushed shyly once he was nudged forward, though Rin seemed a bit less shy once they had started to speak. The warm tones soothed him and made the child feel a bit more sure of himself.

"Hello!" The blond wore a smile now

Since everyone else seemed to be sitting, Rin followed suit, flopping onto his bum with his legs out in front of him.
Well, might as well be comfortable. Since it seemed he had already been introduced, he didn't bother giving them his name.

Rin's eyes glinted curiously.
"Lone wolf? What is a lone wolf? Oh! Like a game? Can I howl too?" His smile shifted to a wide grin of excitement.

Shinya couldn't help but grin widely at the exchange between Rin and Hideki. The two had hit it off almost immediately.

He settled on the floor fully then, with his leg tucked under a bent leg and his chin propped on the knee. He waggled a finger at Rin. "A lone wolf is someone who could howl the loudest, m'sieur Rin! How about trying? Hideki here can howl really loud!"

Shin grinned and shook his shock of blond hair. "I can't howl, though, so you'd have to teach me."

The teacher watched the three converse with a smile curving on her lips. A little hope sprung in her chest. Maybe little Rin will be able to find a home this time. If it could be these two, it would be a dream come true for the child.

"Of course you can, Rin. Please, go ahead and give us your best one!" Hideki chimed while smiling at the cute child.
"Then I'll see if we can take you into our pack. Wouldn't it be wonderful?"

Oh, the parent sense in him was tingling, and he wanted nothing more than to take this little fellow home and pamper him silly.

"Hey, Shin." He leaned over to whisper in his ear. "He's a mini-Shin, with the colors of our eyes combined."
