Name: Datte Alabastor Age: 345 Race: Hybrid (Demon/Pegasus/Nibel) Gender: Male Appearance: Picture Personality: In direct contrast to his sister, Datte is a quiet, unassuming man who puts his family before all others. When Kiito gets in trouble, Datte is usually the one that saves her ass. He considers the crew of the Kaen Aered as family, and is close to them. As First Mate, Datte can and will take command if his sister cannot, but it is not in his nature to do so. He keeps his thoughts to himself, except around Kiito, Jaque, or Mari. A true Nibel at heart, Datte is a team player, often throwing aside his own concerns to help his crew. Abilities: Unlike his sister, Datte did not inherit the Nibele abilities. Instead, he possesses strong demon magic. However, because he is not a full demon, using those powers can leave him with aftereffects, including claw and teeth growth, darkening of the eyes, and deepening of his voice. The more magic he uses at one time, the longer it takes for the aftereffects to fade. If he goes past his limit, he loses control. For this reason, Datte prefers not to get into fights unless absolutely necessary. Weapons and Equipment:
Occupation: First Mate of the Kaen Aerden/Sky Pirate Alliance: None History: Datte and his twin sister Kiito were born to Pirate Lords Kaede Cervantes and Bowen Alabastor of the airship Xena, before the cracking of the world. They lived happily aboard their parents' airship, and were raised collectively by its crew (which mainly consisted of family -Kaede's siblings and Bowen's sister and brother-in-law). Bowen was the adoring father, and was wrapped around the twins' little fingers, and Kaede doted on them while still maintaining their restrictions. Datte began hanging around Uncle Kai, learning the demon magicks, and Kiito took to following her parents everywhere. They had the perfect childhood. Then, disaster struck, in the form of the Skyblood Massacre. The Xena, having been transporting precious cargo for the Rebellion, was hit by ground forces, and went down in flames. At the last possible second, Kaede tapped into her demonic powers and teleported the entire crew away to someplace safe... excluding herself. To this day, nobody knows if she didn't have enough power to teleport herself to safety... or if she stayed behind on purpose. The crew mourned the loss of their beloved captain, and went to the ruins of the once beautiful Xena to salvage what they could of their old home. Bowen discovered Kaede's pistols among the rubble, surprisingly unharmed, and presented them to the twins to remember their mother by; 'Aerden' to Kiito and 'Aered' to Datte. After they'd gathered what they could, the remaining Cervantes siblings crafted a stone statue as a memorial marking of Captain Kaede Cervantes' final resting place. The Cracking of the World only served to separate the family further. Bowen stored the twins in the one place he knew they'd be safe; the emerald Simbeu, of which fellow Pirate Lord Malek Kaiisuga was captain. Of course, the Crow agreed to take in the trio and expressed his condolences over Kaede's death... but Bowen vanished the next day. Mari, Malek's daughter, befriended the twins and kept them occupied around the ship, teaching them anything they didn't know. It was only when Malek visited the memorial that it was revealed that Mari and Lilith (aboard the Leviathan with Pirate Lord Malfurion Zanarkand) were the twin daughters of Kaede and Malek. When Kiito and Datte turned 20, they left the Simbeu and acquired themselves an airship of their own. Kiito claimed captainship and named the ship 'Kaen Aerden'. Datte presented her with 'Aered' as a gift, and took it upon himself to gather a crew. He met and recruited Jaque Pataroke as their pilot, and Kiito extended the invitation to a little skyzier they'd found in the engine room while the Kaen Aerden was grounded in a scrapyard. Now the crew flies around Baleguin, stopping in the Outreach every once in a while for Kiito to compete in sharpshooting competitions, and in scrapyards for Timo the skyzier.
