Name: Valanthe Galanodel
Age: 200
Race: Elf
Gender: Female
Appearance:Posted Image

Val stands six foot one, she keeps herself in shape. Muscular, and large for a female elf, she can still move as silent, and hide as well as all the others of her race. Her wild white and blonde hair, besides the twin braids at her back, appears to never have been brushed, when in fact, Val is quite the neat and tidy woman. Light blue markings cover her body, the tattooing began when she was the age of twelve when her powers were first discovered, and continue through her age at current. She wears no armor, and only has a dagger and quarterstaff for protection, though her fists hit quite hard and unarmed, she is a more dangerous opponent than when armed.
Personality: Val is a soft spoken woman, looking for peace in a world where there is none. She favors elves over any other company, though will mingle with almost any crowd. She is sincere, kind, and loyal. Most people think of her as wise, but that is hardly how she sees herself. She takes her occupation seriously, and has harmed those who have gotten in her way in the past. Her main goal is a perfect self.
Abilities: Her unarmed attack is worse than when she has a weapon in hand. She hits twice as hard as a large man, and twice as quick than a trained assassin. She has the ability not just to fight with her hands, but her feet and legs as well. She is proficient with her quarterstaff and her belt knife, but will hardly ever draw them. Her tattoos give her a strong connection to earth magic. Each tattoo holds a significant spell she can wield. She isn’t limited as most other spell casters by a casting limit, she can cast up to twenty spells without having to rest her mind.
Weapons: Quarterstaff and belt knife. Ordinary the both of them.
Occupation: Monk
Alliance: None at the moment.
History: From birth, Val has been trained to center her mind and body, giving her an advantage over most ordinary people. She was sent to a monastery after her birth parents were unable to care for her. She has no knowledge of them or her family. Sheltered though she was, her master let her go to the village not far away and play with other children there. She made fast friends. Her favorite game was hide and seek which she won most every time. She wonders about her family from time to time, but it isn’t at the center of her thoughts. She would rather dwell in the present rather than the past. So dedicated was she to her master that he had to virtually toss her from her life long home, giving her the instructions not to come back until she attained a perfect self. She now travels the vast lands seeking the path to a perfect self.
Additional Info: Some examples of the spells she can cast, though she isn’t limited to these.
Create water, cure minor wounds, guidance, calm animals, faerie fire, long strider, speak with animals, fire trap, fog cloud, call lightening, dominate animal, water breathing, air walk, ice storm, scrying, control winds, tree stride, fire seeds, willow step, breath of life, and teleport.

Opening her eyes, Val yawned and stretched. She was fortunate enough to have found a blanket of moss the night before, and had bedded down there for the night. Lying still a few moments, she was greeted by a song bird high over head. The forest was a grand place and she always tried to study as much as she could while traveling through one. This day was a busy one. So much to do and so little time in which to get it all done.
More provisions must be bought in the nearby town. By her guess, it would take her to mid-day to reach it. Her stomach rumbled, distracting her from her thoughts a moment. She sat up and crossed her legs, her thoughts resuming. Once at the town, she must find the reason for the invasion of locusts plaguing the farms around the area. The farmers said they had always been an issue, but the bugs were ten times the problem this season. They feared for their crops, and families. Though she had been passing through, she had agreed to try and help the people as much as she could, giving no promise as to the outcome.
From her side pouch she pulled a scone and nibbled it as her thoughts once again caught up. A mage could perhaps be behind it all, it had happened before that way, but at the time, it hadn’t concerned her. Thankfully the Imperial armies had no hold over these lands, giving her free passage through them. She wasn’t at odds with the Imperialists, but she found their ways sometimes disturbing and avoided coming into direct contact if she could help it. Her thoughts went back to the issue at hand. Perhaps it was a faerie? They certainly had reason to be angry at the farms sprouting up where they had used to call home. She finished the scone and took a long draw from her water skin. She stretched one more time before standing.
She made her way through the trees, listening to their song as a wind rustled their limbs over head. This was truly going to be a beautiful day. Perhaps she would be able to move on after reaching the town, it was after all where the farmers had said the problems started.
