Flevir was in his throne, sprawled out and lounging as he lay there with his hands behind his head and his crossed feet on the chair's armrest, the backs of his hands resting on the other end of the seat. Around him the palace was lit brightly as it normally was and the walls were adorned with tapestries of red and gold thread, the cloth depicting the god's symbol: a red flame surrounding a dragon's head. Cinder was curled up in front of Fire with his eyes shut and his conscious mind focused on dreams. Occasionally his fur would blaze for a moment but it always died down within a few seconds. Inferno was somewhere in another part of the palace so Flevir didn't really care what that cat was up to. Behind the throne lay Volcone, who was having a casual mental conversation with the god of the pros and cons of trying to defeat Aequor-Mare and steal his power. Three braziers stood in the throne area, one on the right of Flevir's throne from the god's angle, one to the left of the empty seat, and one in between the two. Normally the center was filled with blue flame, the right with red, and the left with green, but The Flame was out guarding the front entrance to the temple. The three had been given orders to allow no one in the temple or the palace unless they thought it necessary, for the god wished to have a little relaxation day. Afterall, Celestials deserved to relax, right? Flevir himself was garbed in a golden tunic which had sleeves extending from the shorter ones of the tunic itself, a dark red in hue. The tunic was intricately designed with designs of deep red, and his pants matched his tunic in color and design. His shoes were golden armor boots and attached at the shoulders flowed a cape of deep red. It all melded so well with Flevir's shoulder-length light blonde hair and his fiery red eyes. Suddenly the center brazier blazed to life with a deep blue flame, a lighter blue burning in the middle of the fire. The surprise was evident, for Flevir immediately broke connection with Volcone and turned to face the disturbance in confusion. Confusion was swiftly replaced by anger as the fire jumped out the container and molded itself into Azure, leader of The Flame. Sitting up in his throne, the god crossed his arms over his chest, a scowl on his face, and said, "This better be important." The elemental replied with a few words from the language of fire, which sounded like strange sounds coming from a being with no mouth. Fire listened to him, and slowly the scowl melted off his face to be replaced by a small smile. His arms remained crossed as he replied. "Good," he said. "Send him in." Soon after the large doors that led into the throne room opened and into the room came Crimson and Emerald, carrying fire spears and escorting someone towards Flevir. The man was about average height, his torso well-built but still slim. His hair was long and unruly, dark as the night sky. His eyes were the same color, so it was hard to distinguish his irises from his pupils. The moment he entered the room the god confirmed his identity. He could sense the power emanating off this individual, so it must be him. Flevir stood and clapped his hands together, his cape billowing out behind him, and said, "Ah, Tristan Firesword. I've been expecting you." |

Firesword entered the room, Firesword in hand, Firess trailing behind. As he heard his name called, his internal emotions turned to shock, although one hundred years of pain had permanently hardened his face into both indifference and enmity. Getting in hadn't been hard. Just two quick stokes of his sword had made the blue Flame disappear, and he continued walking. He finally considered the thought that this mission might have been successful, and he might not have to kill this god. Seeing that this venture had cost quite a lot made him realize that he was going to kill the god, unless the news was really good. Seeing the god made Firesword actually gasp. This could be me, he realized. Now every painstaking moment had been worth it. His Firesword flared as it sensed his emotions. For the first time in his life, Firesword felt excitement. He sensed someone behind him. He turned, ready to kill. Nothing was stopping him from getting to the god, and his blade could sense it, growing longer, and finally stopping at five feet long, and dark red. He found they were like the blue Flame he had killed, except they were escorting him to the god. That alone should have worried Firesword, but he didn't care, as long as he got to the god. Firesword drooped to one knee. "Please, Lord Flevir. I implore you. Tell me of my history!" Behind him, Firess gave a small caw, and fell silent.

The smile on Flevir's face dropped as soon as Tristan had his sword grow and he wielded at Emerald and Crimson. In its place was a scowl. How dare he wield his weapon in HIS throne room against his most trusted and skilled strike group. No, it was not going to happen. The demigod would put that disgrace he called a sword away. Afterall, the god was not going to hurt him. Unprovoked, anyways. "How dare you! Put that weapon away this instant! We shall not harm you, so there is no need for any weaponry," Flevir's polite manner was gone, replaced by one of irritability and anger. Pointing to Crimson and then Emerald he said, "And you two! Go back to your posts! And bring Azure with you!" The two nodded and bowed, their spears at their sides. They shrank down, the rocks on them changing to fire in each respective color. They became smaller and smaller, until they were the size of torch flames. The elementals then rose into the air and returned to their braziers. For a moment, all three flames were in their right places, red, green, and blue. Then they were gone, fading from the bottom up. After they disappeared the god regained his polite natire and turned back to Firesword, smiling slightly again. "So, you must be hungry from your journey. Can I interest you in something to eat?" Flevir snapped his fingers and a long table appeared between the two. The polished mahogany surface glistened in the light. Fire's throne came flying to the end closest to its owner and landed there, the other throne doing the same for Firesword. The god took his seat and relaxed a bit. Waving his hand as if he were showing off some masterpiece, he made food appear out of nowhere. All of it seemed fit for a king. In the center was a large roasted ham, elegantly seasoned by professional chefs and smelling of fire and deliciousness. There were platters filled with bread rolls, potatoes which were either mashed or baked, large bowls filled with soup, and a delightful vanilla pudding for dessert. At each end of the table where the two men would sit were plates that were made of gold and studded with rubies around the edges, bowls of silver that were embossed with emeralds of a deep green, a goblet of bronze decorated lavishly with saphires and filled with a sweet white wine, and silverware made of real silver and so intricately designed that one could sped hours trying to find each detail. Flevir smiled and gestured to the food. "Please, help yourself." Edited by Flevir, Oct 20 2012, 08:43 AM.

Firesword was wary. He knew that many would love a chance to kill him. However, this was the best way to find information, so he accepted. If he was poisoned, Firess could heal him. The food was fit for gods, and was easily the best meal of his life. Firesword was lost in bliss. The one thing that should have worried Firesword was that the god did not eat anything. Instead, the god was scrutinizing Firesword, carefully recording every minute detail. Firesword kept eating. It had been a long time since he was full. Suddenly he stopped. If there was one thing he had learned in the past hundred years, it was that there was no such thing as a free dinner. "What is the price?" he asked. He knew it could not be free. Kindness was alien to Firesword. |

The demigod sat, wary at first of the meal laid out before him. Once he started, however, he did not stop for some time. He ate as much as he could as fast as he could. Was this man never fed? It certainly seemed that way. Flevir himself did not touch the food. Being a god he did not require sustenance to keep him strong, so he merely sipped at his wine and studied the young man before him. The boy was quite handsome, taking on most of the characteristics of his father, but it was obvious that his hair and eyes were given to him by his mother. Fire smiled at the thought of his mother, one mortal whom he had truly cared about. The child was covered in scars from his many battles with various monsters and creatures. Over the years his muscles had gained great size while still keeping his figure slim. He had grown into a young man to be proud of, for sure. ”No price, for this is not something to be earned. It is more of a gift, an apology for many years of pain and suffering,” Flevir stood and walked to the boy’s end of the table, tracing the back of the throne the guest was seated in as he continued on. ”You asked me to tell you of your past, your origins. I can do better. Take my hands and I will show you what you wish to know.” The god backed away a small amount from the table and extended his hands palm up to Firesword. When he took his hands Fire would squeeze tightly and then everything around them would seem to fade into black, leaving only the two hominids. And then Flevir would speak. ”I am about to reveal information to you that will perhaps change your perspective. Are you prepared for such a task? If not, we will not try again. It is now or never; either you accept the truth with grace or choose not to know and, due to circumstances beyond my control, never know of your true kin. I ask once more, are you ready?” Edited by Flevir, Nov 6 2012, 10:35 PM.
