Darryn just looked at her with an expression that said 'how-do-you-think-i-feel?'. Yet he forced himself to sit up. It took much more effort than he had expected.

"Like I've been run through a meat grinder." Now that he was sitting upright, he was filled with a slight vertigo and nauseousness.

Noting the look on his face she reached over and sntached a pill ( One of many) from his nightstand and popped it into his mouth, pushign him back into the down pillows.

Darryn stared up at the ceiling tiredly, squinting his eyes. Normally he would have just sat right back up, but given the circumstances...

"You've got wolves. And not the good kind." He said it like a tenant would complain to the landlord about an insect problem. He swallowed hard. "Six... and a young one." The man looked at her.

"What is your name?"

" That's not important... I should probably tell you those wolves never bother me. Your not form around ehre, are you?"

Ashleigh asked softly, already knowing the answer, wondering why you would wonder this area without purpose.

You wouldn't

Darryn glared at her. He didn't like being belittled.

"It's not like a went into the den and provoked them. You'd have to be an idiot fledgling to do that." Now the defiance lifted up in him and he sat up. He very much felt like he was going to puke, but he sat up.

"And, if you must know, no I'm not."

" Watch it or I'll throw you right out the door right now."

Ashleigh hissed softly. To do that right now would kill him, as it was sun up. She'd scare alittle if she went outside, but nothing bad, she could handle the sun, as she'd been turned during the day.... but he didn't need to know that.

" Besides that, the only reason I ask is because those wolves only attack people that they aren't use to."

Ashleigh informed him, reaching over for another shot as she casually gave it to him, forcing him back down.

Darryn wasn't gritting his teeth because of the shot. He couldn't care less about that. It was the frustration. But then he found himself laughing. The strange thing was that he wasn't sure why. Maybe it was just because of the way the world worked. He broke away as a nomad for a reason and this was where he ended up. Great.

" Don't make me sedate you."

ashleigh purred, looking him over.

" You shouldn't take long to heal now that your getting your levels back to normal. Until then, who are you?"

Darryn looked at her. He wasn't about to bend over backwards to kiss this girl's butt. Yeah, she had pulled him out of the snow, but he didn't have to put up with being trashed.

"I asked first."

" Your not in a position to demand things. I really don't think playing hard ball will work for you too well, because I could really careless what happens to you if you start this pretzels."

ashleigh informed him, in the middle of checking a large gash ( which was looking better now) that was on his inner thigh.

Darryn just gazed at the wall, completely uncaring as to what she did or said at the moment. He sighed.

"I think I might just see myself out the door," he mumbled under his breath. The man was half serious was the worst part.

ashleigh looked him over, glanced to his door and held her tongue, if barely.

" Your a rather ungrateful ass. My name is not important, to be honest, neither is your's."

Ashleigh informed him, giving him two other shots and walking out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

Darryn watched her go and then sat up again, pinching back the nausea. He pressed his hand to the fine silver chain and the crest pressing against his chest. His family crest. Not the covenant's - he didn't belong to them anymore.

He swung his feet over the edge of the bed, looking around the room and counting in his head, waiting until a more appropriate pause had passed to leave.

Ashleigh made sure the front door was unlocked, but paid no mind to the lingering wolves, as they could smell their prey in her home, wondering up to her study, leaving her ungrateful guest to his own devices.

Darryn left the room and walked out. His muscles seemed shakey, and his stomach was in an uproar. This was a strange place to live. That was what he immediately figured out. Somehow he ended up in the kitchen. He had no intention of taking from her hand, though, so he moved on. And then he had a thought and came back. He rummaged through the cabinet, eventually finding garlic. He took a clove and rubbed it over his skin. It was a gesture of sorts, a slightly rude one that conveyed a certain displeasure or wish to repulse.
