You are of interest to me.
I am watching you.

A show brimming with action.
Eden was always bold. Either courage or foolishness lives in him as deep and completely as quartz in the sand. He had to be. A moment's hesitation or shyness and the dragons would have killed him long ago.

You will be known to me.
I am reading you.

A story printed on gold leaf.
On the rocky outcroppings near where the Amazon River leaves the rainforest and empties into the ocean, the dragons often bask in the tropical sun. Eden doesn't mind it much himself. Visitors are always fun to watch, afraid that one of his... "pets" might appear out of nowhere. Some people are looking to buy. Some just want learn about the creatures. Either way, if you are wanting anything to do with dragons, Eden is the tamer to see - and it would be naive to say that he didn't know it. He had a gift with the animals. As exciting it was, his life was a routine, predictable.

...At least until the day that a very curious girl ended up on his territory.

I am to you what I must be.

The girl's waist-long, black hair framed a face that was perfectly heart-shaped. Even with her deep blue doe eyes, she was not drop-dead gorgeous, but her entire being oozed innocence. There was something about her that lead one to believe the delicately proportioned creature was trustworthy, even if she had not uttered a single syllable. Then again, that was how it was supposed to be.

Mintra Coventry had been created that way and for that purpose. She was the last child that Vincent Coventry made. Mintra was doing far better than the first, who was now dead, and the second, who was now in a lab being probed. Vincent learned from his mistakes with the other two. She was not sloppily pieced together with scars and mismatches obvious for any eye to see. However, her life is governed not by this, but by a tiny tissue connection in her brain. With this physiological alteration, Mintra can interpret communication and calculate a response almost infallibly at a rate mimic to the subconscious response of a human.

---

Waxy leaves caught on Mintra's shirt as she stepped backwards. Her blue eyes were wide as she stared at a huge red dragon. Its cry filled the air and it flapped its wings in warning. It seemed more distressed by the girl than vice versa. However, only one thought was drifting about her head.

Is it going to eat me?

Eden looked up as his young little pet dragon came upon a new comer, his wavy auburn locks falling into his eyes once more, obnoxious bright baby blues piercing through the stray strands as he leaned back under the tree's shade.

Eden wasn't sure what to make of the little woman bellow, if she was just ignorant of the territory, or if she was intentionally there as he sighed inwardly, moving ever so slowly towards the ledge, and jumping. Yep, right down and landing atop the dragon's head.

This looked all fun and well, however, this little dragon was just that. A hatchingly, and he promptly dumped Eden right down ontop the ground and attempted to swat him like a bothersome horse fly.

Eden grumbled under his breath and quickly man-handled the over-sized beast and won him over before looking to the woman, expectantly.

Mintra watched him intently, only stepping out of her cover once the animal had been subdued. After a moment of eye contact she dropped her gaze away, picking a pale leaf from her dark hair.

"Thank you." She lifted her face and then arched a brow as she glanced at the dragon.

"Friend of yours?" It wasn't entirely clear whether she was asking the dragon if the man was a friend or the man if the dragon was a friend.

" Now he is."

He replied simply, considering the woman. Why was a woman this way? Surely woman wanted to be tamers all the same as men, but typically they looked a bit more... like they wouldn't break if a dragon growled at them....

Eden grumbled under his breath about women with no brains, before clearing his throat.

" Your welcome, Now why are you here?"

Mintra cocked her head to the side and spoke in plain matter-of-fact tone.

"I was hoping to get rid of the angry mob following me. Stumbling across your friend was just collateral, though it seemed to have worked." But then she cracked a grin.

"What is your name, Tamer?"

" Eden."

He replied simply, considering letting the dragon eat her now as he moved to the side and turned from her. She'd either follow, or she wouldn't, that wasn't really his concern. you see... She'd interrupted his lunch, so he fully intended to go back and finish it.

She had to climb over a fallen log, but Mintra did follow him after all.

"Eden... I suppose this is appropriate, what for in the middle of the rainforest and all." The little girl was curious.

Eden merely shrugged and sat back down at his food, thankfully un touched by others, once more eating his roasted rabbit. Hey, you eat whatever you can get in this place.

Mintra stood there for a minute, eyes running across him. Was he really that hungry, or was plain not the talkative type. Okay. After a minute, she sat down and attempted to free a twig from her pantleg. Actually... Was that poison oak?

((This thing.))

Eden looked up, and sighed as he grumbled a bit more.

" yes, great. I think I have something for that."

He complained under his breath the entire time he looked through his bag about women being out in the wilderness when they were completely clueless.

Mintra glanced up, her eyes widening just slightly as though caught off guard.

"Oh! No, don't worry about it. I'm not allergic." She tossed the twig backward into the trees. However, she didn't think about the fact that she should probably wash her skin... and the rock she was sitting on. After all, they were contaminated with the oil.

"Continue eating."

((I know someone like that, actually. He could roll around in the stuff and it wouldn't do a thing to him. Well, actually it was with poison ivy, but yeah...))

Eden looked at her disbelieving, but didn't argue. It was her skin, not his. her problem, not his. So, without a care to her future state, he returned to eating his food. Or tried to, only to discover his new 'friend' had stolen it as a snack, and he was now mealless. Yep, this was definitely turning out to be a loli pops day.

Mintra was staring at the dragon who had apparently scarfed the rabbit with due amount of pleasure. She raised one eyebrow.

"So that is how it is done? Through the stomach?" She was currently wondering about the diet of the creature. If they ate rabbits, then why was she concerned?

" Well, apparently with this one. Most of them are a bit mroe difficult."

Eden purred without too much thought to her now, as he was trying to consider his options on food... now that his rabbit was gone.

Mintra tilted her head to the side, her hair falling into her face.

"Doesn't that leave you with the short end of the stick, though?"
