Suri stopped now, smiling charmingly.

" Well, you don't look like a relative of medusa that would collect statues of her petrified pets, but you certainly are and have your back yard littered with."

suri countered cutely, looking to Vynz now, considering the box.

" We're here, anything else to look at? the smells are killing me."

She complained softly.

The woman suddenly looked very abashed.

Vynz screwed his face up at Suri.

"You're not the only one." However, he said nothing else to the woman, reaching out and taking HIS box. Note that she didn't complain as he did nothing more than walk out with it.

Suri smiled and waived cutely to the woman, darting up the steps after Vynz, glancing to the box.

" what's that?"

She asked simply.

Vynz considered the thing.

"I don't know. I was planning on opening it and finding out. All I know is that it has my name on it - more accurately, my signature though obviously written by someone else." He raised a brow at her, looking down a small alleyway. He wanted to be out of sight. Who knew what this thing was/might do?

Suri nodded, the jeep having turned back to dust by now anyway as they were soon hanging out in a rather unnoticed alleyway, Suri staring at the box interestedly.

Vynz sat the thing down on an old, boarded-up window ledge. When he opened it, however, the man had to take a few steps back as the smell of rotten flesh issued up in a plume of dust. He frowned and then slowly approached it again. He pulled out a smaller box and a piece of old, yellowed paper.

Suri, not use to having to smell thsi smell all the time wrinkled her nose a bit more as her eyes turned to the contents, attempting not to set the thing a fire or something just to have it gone.

Vynz shut the box, frowning deeply.

"That is why all bodies should be buried or burned." He looked at the paper now. It was a letter written to him.

"You have to be kidding." It was written in two languages, but he was guessing that the reason for that was that Rosaline's Egyptian was always pidgin-speak at best. However, he couldn't read the half she had written in her favorite language.

"I never learned Venezuelan."

" Well, then I guess we need internet access and a scanner."

Suri replied honestly, as she hadn't a clue, either.

Vynz pocketed the little box, guessing that he best not open it until he knew what the letter said.

"The I guess we need to find an internet cafe..." He began to walk out of the alley again, leaving the bigger box behind.

"However, your guess as to where is as good as mine. Left or right?"

" Left."

No reason to the choice, emrely picking one as she looking about, wondering how that old woman had handled growing up as a child, petrifying all the family pets, shrugging as she looked about... So many people here held shadows and scents, and images and...

Suri groaned after a few moments.

" It's been a while sense blocking this man foreigners out. .."

Always traces of the past, never of the future, but anything one did left a amrk upon the soul, as well as the scent of their character....

Vynz walked along, looking at the signs on the buildings as they searched.

"Just because I'm curious, care to elaborate on that one?"

Suri glanced over, shrugging.

" Souls believe it or not, factor into a person's spell. Other people's souls can factor into certain spells, or my spells can show me their history. Some of the spells I have upon myself result in showing me everyone's history..... I blocked the history's I'm use to seeing, but these are so different, so i don't have most of them blocked, and it's overwhelming to see."

Vynz pressed his lips together tersely for a minute.

"Next time I ask a stupid question like that, just kick me."

Suri smiled and shrugged.

" Not stupid, just ill informed."
