Suri nodded absently, stretching slowly.

" Alright, you'll find a hotel soon, I'm sure."

Something about the phrasing, something about, well just everything, made Vynz press his lips once more into a tight line. The man didn't say anything, didn't even look over. He half expected just to hear a 'poof' and for her to be gone. He couldn't explain the suspicion, but then again, what did it matter? He had tried to convince her not to come, after all, right?

Vynz did find the hotel after a while. He parked and spent a good minute staring at Suri before whispering over to her, as though it would do some good.

"Are you going to wake up or are you honestly expecting me to lug you in there? I mean, if you want to sleep in the car, don't let me stop you..." He just didn't want to get zapped or have his shoes turn into spaghetti noodles or something.

Suri was sincerely out as she merely nestled down into the car seat more, seeming to just curl tighter to keep herself warm. Apparently she could be a heavy sleepier if it suited her.

Vynz paused for a minute. Here was the thing. Did he want to have her wake up and spell him because she was angry, or did he want to have her spell him accidentally and then wake up to reverse it? Somehow, he liked the second option better. So, the man sighed and got out, opening her door and lifting her out of the car. He intended to go inside and get two rooms. Let's see how well that works out.

Suri merely snuggled down and slept further, little did he know he was currently protected from everything she was warded against, which would be comical to think about... because that list of protections included vampires....

As they walked towards the front of the Liken Hotel, the sky above went three or four more shades of black and obnoxiously bright purple lightening started streaking across the sky, seeming to wash over a bubble shield that was about both Vynz and Suri as the man headed inside.

Once inside there was a rather plump woman that looked very homely, hair in a bit of a mess as she answered an old style rotary phone. As the moments passed and she looked as if she might pass out, the woman smiled kindly to the pair entering the building.

" 'Llo, how may I help the two of you tonight?"

It doesn't matter if you're a freaking stone in the middle of the highway. If you're getting struck by lightning, you are going to be at least a little surprised. Now... Getting almost struck by lightning is probably worse. So, Vynz's eyes shot a little wider and he jumped slightly. However, after glancing around to see that no one saw, he tried to just casually brush it off and walked into the hotel. The vampire smiled charmingly at the quaint little lady.

"Do you have a set of rooms to spare?" He really wanted to put the girl down. Who knew what was going to happen next? Maybe they were going to spontaneously turn magnetic and every metal object in the entire room was going to hurtle towards them until satisfied with sticking to them. Yes, he had no idea what was going on.

The woman smiled apologetically as she spoke.

" I fear I only have one room left, and it's on the top floor. It's been a bit busy tis evenin', and I really don't know what to make of this new storm brewing, but we do have dinner in an hour or so, and your welcome to rest up in there by the fireplace until then, as that one room just got left recently and the maid is cleaning it up now."

She explained simply. It was probably a 200+ year old house turned into a little bed and breakfast place in the middle of nowhere, very quaint, and homey, probably had a maximum of 12 rooms, and who knew if all those rooms had a bathroom or not, however, one had to love the curb appeal and the lovely beds and homemade food smell filling the place.

suri merely slept on, completely content.

Vynz sighed and nodded. What else could he do?

"Of course. That will do fine." He walked over and put the girl on the couch in front of the fireplace. He let out a long breath as though she was very heavy and walked away to fish out payment for the lady.

"How much? And what coinage do you use where ever we are?"

" We accept euros, american dollars, and yen. "

The woman replied simply, glancing to him a moment, seeming unsure which the man before her would use, smiling sweetly as she finally made it to the cash register with three drawers.

" 1027.26 yen, 9.44 Euros, or 12 US dollars."

she purred simply, watching the man a moment.

" Meals included."

She added absently, just now recalling most people tended to think they were extra as she looked to the woman sleeping upon the couch in the dining area.

" Little doll, huh?"

((Someone used the converter. =P))

Vynz gave a slow smile, looking through his wallet and trying to decide which he would use, seeing as he had all of those as well as a couple other currencies... However, dollars weren't really accepted in a lot of places outside the US, so he decided he would use those and save the others just in case.

"Don't let her looks deceive you. She's a spitfire." He handed the woman the money.

The woman smiled, handing him back the change, looking to the window and shaking her head as she called a boy, perhaps 20 at eldest to get some more firewood, it was going to be a chilly night.

Vynz simply nodded, stuffing the change back into his wallet. He was completely unbothered by the ordering around of this random kid to go make the fire bigger. Nope, Vynz just sat down in a chair across from the couch, waiting.

sleeping until the smell of food roused her, Suri stretched out on the couch, an odd look registering over her face as she looked up to Vynz, and even odder look passing her face as she sat up, looking over the food. It looked weird.... didn't they have anything normal to eat?
