The woman, her children, and the guests were all gone. the windows were open, the tables over turned, and all the food missing. The entire place appeared to be either raided and ransacked, or merely abandon in the first place.

Vynz sighed slightly as he found himself standing in the middle of the downstairs room, eyes trailing from the overturned furniture to the door hanging on only one set of hinges. He knew that he died when he slept, but this was a little excessive. He decided right then and there that this was Suri's fault. However, he needed to find her. The vampire glanced out the door to see that even their car was gone. That was when he was glad that he had put the 'compass' in his pocket. So the man closed his eyes and tilted his head, relaxing enough so that he could hear and smell instead of tuning it out.

suri's scent covered the entire hotel, and there were very faint traces of it trailing along with the direction the car had been driven off in... but then, the other way, heading in something similar to the direction the little compass had been taking them, her scent seemed to radiate, as they'd thought to silence her, but not to mask her scent. Foolish little bed stealing sorceress holding monkies .

Vynz sighed slightly, glancing around. Okay. So no one was here and someone obviously didn't know who they were dealing with. Kidnapping someone out of a room containing a sorceress AND a vampire? Seriously, who does that?

Vynz followed the scent. He kind of felt like a bloodhound. He hated that feeling, but given the circumstances, he had very little choice. It was a good thing he had some stamina, though, because she was definitely more than a little ways away.

Suri, being the lovely pain she was, had taken to tossing their china that they'd left within reach of her cage, tossing it out of the bars, watching ti shatter upon the wall, and make no noise. She continued with this, soon changing from wall, to window, smirking when she heard the cup make sound outside as it collided with whatever was bellow.

suri continued her pass time, rather surprised she had yet to see bodies to go with the new location, after all, someone put her here, no?

Vynz breezed along for quite some time. The sun had moved in the sky about the time that he found himself in a strange little place. It was like... well, it was kind of like a village in the trees. It was obvious why the buildings were in the trees, as Vynz was standing on one of the few firm places in the middle of this swamp, but still...

Plop, another little cup placed it's self upon vynz's head as suri continued with her toss, that was the last cup, now came the dinner platters. zing, out the window it went like a freakin flying saucer, smashing right into another tree.

Vynz looked up at the random cup that had landed on his head. Granted, it didn't hurt. In fact, it kind of looked interesting. Like one of those little fez things. He picked it off the top of his head, sighing as he climbed up into the tree, coming out on to a platform. He glanced around, not seeing anyone immediately and walked over to the window... only to get nearly decapitated by a flying saucer. ((Pun intended.)) The man raised a brow, looking in now.

"...Never a dull moment."

suri made a face as she saw Vynz, rapping on the steel bars that held her once more, trying to point out no noise worked in ths place as the silence seemed to slowly be feeding off of her. it was maddening, she couldn't even hear normal sounds, like her breathing or heartbeat.....

Vynz sighed slightly, bending down and simply stepping through the window. He opened his mouth to speak and found that no sound came out. As he walked to the bars, he stopped for just a minute. He couldn't hear anything. That had never happened to him before. He kind of liked it. So this was what silence sounded like, what it felt like not being bombarded constantly. The man smiled to himself, picking up the key that was laying on a table on the other side of the room. Logically it would go to the padlock on her cage.

Suri frowned when the key didn't work, looking to the door nob that was now turning, crap.

Making a rather nasty face she crossed her arms and sat down on the bed, feet resting atop her backpack as all sorts of noises blasted through the door and stopped the moment the man shut it.

His voice cut through the silence. Suri was so jealous.

" Really now? the vampire did chase the little witch?"

Now suri went off, even if she wasn't being heard, about the fact she wasn't a witch, or course.

Vynz, however, was rather unbothered by the entire situation, unfazed as even the key didn't work. Okay, so this was going to require a little effort. Big deal. When the stranger walked in an began chatting, Vynz flashed a light smile, ignoring Suri. He simply waved at the random guy.

Good morning. That was really his only thought about the entire situation. Well, aside from pondering if perhaps he should have walked on around to come in through the front door. Hey, maybe if he would have done that, he would have been able to make sound too. Not that he really wanted to. Vynz liked silence, yes, he had decided that he fully enjoyed it.

The man stared at Vynz, sparing Suri only a minor glance before turning back to the vampire.

" I fear I can't let her go. She's part of my collection, you see, all I was missing was a witch."

Suri looked furious now. WHAT SELF RESPECTING SORCERESS allowed herself to be called A WITCH?!? Well, in retrospect, she wasn't allowing him to do so, she merely lacked options at the moment.... however, she did manage to cut his forehead open with a flying bit of china.

Vynz rolled his eyes, just giving Suri a look as she split open the forehead of the guy. Good news? That whole blood-craziness thing was a complete load of crap. It was kind of like... having a churro set in front of you. It smelled good and you knew it tasted good, but you were in no way obligated to eat it. The man shook his head, now moving on to ignore the guy. He grabbed the padlock and looked it over carefully.

Suri was throwing some kind of baby fit as she hurled a few more things at the guy for good measure then she stared. The guy had lifted Vynz clean off the floor and tossed him out the window, looking to Suri, handing her a broom and dustpan, and wondering off out of the room. great.
