Positive Effects


  • Blink/Image - Avoid physical attacks.
  • Dedication - Increases experience gained for a set period of time.
  • Float - Target floats, becoming immune to earth damage.
  • Haste - Time taken to execute actions decreases. (+20% Speed)
  • Invincible - Grants immunity to all physical and magical attacks.
  • Invisible - User becomes invisible, making them impossible to track with the naked eye.
  • Null Magic - Immune to magical damage.
  • Protect - Increased physical Defense. (+20% Defense)
  • Reflect - Reflects magic back at the caster.
  • Regen - Restores HP over time. (+2% HP/turn)
  • Shell - Increased Magic Resistance. (+20% Magic Resistance)


Neutral Effects


  • Berserk - Afflicted target flies into a rage, increasing their attack, but eliminating defense and making it difficult for them to hit. (+100% Attack, -50% Defense, -20% Speed)
  • Hide - Target cannot be targeted by anything, but also cannot attack.


Negative Effects


  • Addle - A target suffering from Addle cannot remember any ability mastered. (-Skills until effect wears off(5 turns))
  • Blind/Darkness - Reduces Accuracy, causing the sufferer's physical attacks to miss more.(-20% Speed)
  • Charm - Target becomes infatuated with the caster. (-50% Attack when attacking caster)
  • Critical - Activates when a units' HP falls below a certain level (25%), this status can trigger some positive status effects depending on the character's equipment.
  • Condemned/Doom - KO'd after certain amount of time, can be "cured" by ending battle before time runs out.
  • Confuse - Afflicted target becomes disoriented (-10% Attack, -10% Defense, -10% Speed)
  • Control - Target is under the control of the user and is unable to make any actions of their own. This status can only be applied to monsters.
  • Death - Occurs if a victim's HP becomes zero in a Jagd area and they are not revived before the battle's end. The victim cannot be revived and is declared dead.
  • Disable - Target cannot attack, but can still move.
  • Eject - Target is removed from battle
  • Gradual Petrify/Slow Numb - Similar to Doom, victim turns to Stone after a certain amount of time.
  • Immobilize - Target cannot move, but can still attack.
  • KO - HP is zero and is unable to take turn.
  • Oil - Unit takes extra damage from fire-based spells. (-50% Fire Resistance)
  • Petrify/Stone - Encases in stone, unable to take turn or damaged by attacks. Also, if not cured by the end of the battle, the afflicted character does not receive Exp/AP/Gil.
  • Poison - Takes damage every turn (-5% HP/turn)
  • Reverse - Switches the effects of healing into damage and vice versa.
  • Silence - Unable to cast magic or sing.
  • Size/Mini - Shrinks. (-90% Attack, -90% Defense)
  • Sleep - Unable to take turn until woken up by an attack or after a specific amount of time. (Depends on the technique)
  • Slow - Time taken to execute actions is increased. (-20% Speed)
  • Stop - Unable to move or attack until they re-enter time. (2 turns)
  • Toad - Becomes a frog; attack strength is decreased and can only use normal attacks. (-60% Attack)
  • Vit 0 - A target inflicted with Vit 0 has no defense against physical attacks. (-100% Defense)
  • Zombie - Victim becomes Undead, taking damage from healing spells/items. Resurrection magic and items KO afflicted units.
