METHOD

Start off by making sure you have your Bandos item equipped (If you are using Ascensions, Torva, Pernix or Virtus you do not need to do this - You will be automatically protected from all sections of the GWD).

Start to kill Bandos followers (Goblins, Jogres, Cyclops etc).

Once you reach 40 KC, the Bandos name will glow. This means that you can now face General Graardor and his minions.
Proceed to the Northwest, opening the 70 Strength door. Then go to the door which leads to the lobby area before the door to General Graardor. This is the area which you can take a breather, and prepare to enter.

When you click on the door you will be faced with 5 options. They are: Enter Boss Room. Start a new session, Start a new session (Hard Mode), Join an existing session & Rejoin my previous session (if you were in an instance before. This option will not work unless someone is still inside your instance.)
If you wish to enter the room without instancing, choose the first option. If you wish to pay 250,000 coins for a private instance (no one can crash, or even enter if you make the maximum 1 players.), then choose option 2.

If you choose option 2, you will be asked how many players you wish to have in the instance. Set this to 1. Then, if you are a high level, choose the fast respawn option. If you are mid level, but confident, also choose the fast respawn option. If you are on your fast trip, I recommend using Average or Slow. Average is the same speed as the main boss room that is free for all players.

Pot up, and turn your prayers on. Then proceed into the room and start facing General Graardor.

DROPS

General Graardor and his minions are the only NPC's in the game to drop Bandos GWD gear. However, only General Graardor will drop the coveted Bandos Hilt. His minions will drop: Bandos Chestplates, Bandos tassets, Bandos Helm, Bandos warshield, Bandos gloves & Bandos boots. This is EXTREMELY RARE, whereas Graardor will drop this rarely. If you are lucky enough to obtain a Bandos item, you will recieve a book on top of the drop, and all your friends will be sent a news broadcast showing which drop you have recieved. At the time of this post, the most expensive drop is currently the Bandos Chestplate.

General Graardor's Miscellanous drops range from noted coal to noted adamantite ore. This is a good idea to pick up. If you have a Pack Yak, or Magic Notepaper I recommend picking up ALL his Ourg Bones, as this can amount to up to 600,000 coins an hour with no drops.

Good luck, and I hope you get some good loot!
