Some tips from Danny the last time this came up : For a bigger bonus allow the bank robers to pull out there gun before blasting away at them. At the end of the stage you will be rewarded for your average time it takes you to kill an enemy from when they have pulled out their gun, shooting enemies when their gun is still in their hoslters will not earn you much bonus points. The reason behind this is due to the whole wild west thing of honour and all that. Try and collect as many extra money bags as possable. People can still disposit money after the slot has been filled with money for extra points. Try and balance juicing the extra money bag trick with you're time limit because you also get bonus points for left over time at the end of each stage. Watch out for bombs, they can kill you within a few seconds so always be on the look out for them on the radar. Normaly these are set by bank bandits who are left alone for a long time so ifyou see anyone with a note telling you were a bandit is go there and stop them before it's to late. And a couple from Sureshot : Although robbers can be shot on sight (such a kill is judged "UNFAIR" but carries no penalty), greater points can be earned by waiting until the robbers draw their weapons. A red-shirted robber who is shot at the precise moment of drawing his weapon will earn maximum points and a letter in the word "EXTRA" (indicated in the lower left corner). Completing five such kills finishes the word, earning the player an extra life, bonus points, and instant advancement to the next level. Extra lives can also be earned by reaching certain scores. Later levels introduce variations, including customers who will be shoved aside by robbers; customers who are bound by ropes (shooting them once will destroy the ropes and earn the player three bags of money, while waiting will reveal a robber); and red-shirted robbers who carry two handguns and thus must be shot twice, though even doing so with perfect timing will not earn an EXTRA letter. At times, a robber will take money that has been deposited at one of the doors, making its red dollar sign disappear, and will be hiding behind that door, money in hand. Shooting the robber makes him drop the money, returning the deposit. Also, after making a deposit, customers turn to leave. They sometimes will be wearing posters on their backs showing a masked face and a door number. This indicates a robber hiding behind that door. And Leezers .inp file from his attempt last time (40 minutes worth) is here : www.mameworld.net/highscore/bankp.zip |

Just come across what must be a bug. I had 2 red bandits on screen, 1 with a bag at the last door without cash and the other one at the next door. I shot the one with the cash and the end of level music came up, then the other one shot me so I had all 12 doors filled with money and died. I got stuck on the same level again with all the doors still filled so I was getting more points for each new bag but the level never finished. The only way I think I could have got out of this position would have been to shoot 5 red bandits at 0 seconds (which of course I couldn't do!) D'oh. ME. |

Test your might
|
My tip from about level 10 onwards is don't worry about the fair/non fair stuff, just shoot anything bad instantly and often you'll get a perfect fair shot anyway. It's way more important to do this as some robbers will simply burst in the door and start firing straight away, so need to be taken down immediately. |

815700 - round 14 Tricky one (higher score, lower multiplier, but I suppose the higher multiplier will trumph it) Got totally screwed over on 3 occasions by time outs due to doors simply NOT giving me bags. |

Time is up, scores posted after this will not count towards league points. Congratulations Leezer You really should get Twin Galaxies to verify your scores for this one - you've exceeded the world record by a huge margin... Week 5 here I've been ill, didn't even realise what day it was, never mind 12:00 - first time I've not posted a score and its a game I like, just not had the reactions to play as planned Feeling better today than yesterday (slept through most of that), so hopefully a few beers tonight and I'll feel fine. |
