Danny ~ 38,970![]() First ever go on this game and here are the things that I have noticed about it... * It's old school * There are no bonuses for completing "Areas" * Bomb act like bombs and are not screen clearing, bullet devouring devices of death * The game is rather generious with power ups (good thing I suppose!) * Fast but simpe bullet paterns Hope that helps, I am now off to eat sunday roast. I'll be back to kick this games butt (hopefully later!) |

119,990 This game wins the "most annoying pick-ups" award. I lose most lives chasing the bastards around the screen and getting hit by a bullet. It also hurts, with the constant whacking of fire. Not too bad though. ![]() |

Danny ~ 89,270![]() It's annoying when you die just before a boss because then you are under powered and the boss fight takes forever even with bombs. I did not think this game would have a boss but aprently it does and it kicked my butt. Nice game though, I can see myself playing this quite happly thoughout the week. |

I think it's a bonus. When I got to the end of level one there was a bonus awarded for any Ps I had. I think you lose them all when you lose a life, as I didn't get any bonus even though I'd picked up loads of them  There are coloured balls too, but I don't know what they are for. I've picked up a few of those. |

The colours seem to give you different bullets - Igot a blue one , and it turned into a kind of cannon There can end up with plenty of bullets on screen - I actually use my smart bombs to destroy incoming bullets |

Fantastic choice Sputryk
, this was on my list of games to choose for this season and lost only on a coin toss.Kick the wife (husband), kids/ pets out of the room turn the volume right up and blast those choppers until the neigbours call the police and get you an ABSO. As necronom says you get bonuses for any Ps you pick up during the stage but you lose them all if you die. And today (20 years since I first played this game) I managed to do level 1 without dying and got 27,000 bonus. !!!!! Coloured balls give you Red - Forward shots which spread horizontally a bit (my fave) Yellow - Shoot in all 4 directions at the same time (but not very powerfull) Blue - Shoot diagonally forwards (good for killing lots of choppers) Green - Much more powerfull shots forward but very thin range (Good for doubles games) First (well 4th try) 463,370 ![]() ME. |

New stuff that I have noticed about this game. There are four differnt types of bullet. RED is a balanced mixture between spread and power and is the weapon you start with at the beggining of the game and when you die. BLUE is the spread cannon and generaly is best for dealing with the hoardes of on comming enemies during the level since most only take one or two hits to destroy. GREEN is the focused almost rapid fire selection of the three weapon types. You should try and collect this weapon if you are about to fight a boss as it does more damage to a sinlge enemy than any other weapon type. YELLOW is a four way shot, not used it so I can't say if it's any good or not... sorry! As someone mention before bombs also clear bullets that stray into it's blast raidus as well as anything that's in the air as well. If you have just died and there is a bonus helicopter flying about and giving you trouble just use a bomb at least that way you get a power up allowing you actualy defend yourself properly when a horde of tanks come your way. I am going to play some more now all I gotta say to you guys who have not played this game yet is... "GET IN TO THE CHOPPER!" |

Quick question - Are you allowed in this comp to play doubles on games like this or does that give you an unfair andvantage (or perhaps not as points would be halved) ME. |

I don't think doubles would be allowed. Everyone needs to use the same ROM, as some games have differences in other regions (and revisions). |

err I noticed a potental problem with this game. The bosses don't have time limits and some (like the first level boss) spew out hordes of minons meaning it's possable to sit there an leech. I sure nobody here would try such a thing but I felt I should at least raise the issue with you guys. |

1. Doubles is not allowed, single player only 2. The start of the week's thread usually specifies which version - in this case the World version Toaplan executive, 1987: Yeah, right, Flying Shark is doing wicked amounts of coins, know what I mean, man? *twangs red Wall Street braces* Let's turn the plane into a 'elicopter, lightly remix the music and BOSH. After a while the screen just moves you forward, towards the landing tanker,so you can't leech points. Rom version =world These types of games are a right sickner for me,always have been! Instead of my eyes tracking the movements of the bullets and the crafts, they tend to do this instead,so i can see me having the lowest score for Twin cobra, fact. |

Danny ~ 151,470![]() OK finaly nailing the first level, I reckon I can one life the sucker soon which will mean big points when they tally up the medals I've collected. That second level is a right sod if you don't have the right weapon though. In fact not have a powered up weapon can also be a bit of a bugger as well. Anyway I am enjoying the game, will play some more once I get back from town. |

As above. Got killed in the boss fight, and then went 'where the f*** did my medals go?' Those blue shoots are great, but as mentioned, not for level 2. A smidgen of the old 1 useful life scenario in this game. Oh, and my arm hurts. Still fun though. 168110

Early days yet,and stick with that blue weapon, once powered up,it can clear stages with ease, only from the second to last stage/boss ,does the heat really get turned up :ph43r: ,and if you complete the final stage, the game just loops back to the first stage, this time with added extras ! Tip: On some of the stages,it is possible to stay quite close to the top of the screen, which lets you destroy or easily avoid (using simple left right dodges)a lot of stuff. |
