12,800 I hate this already. I've had two goes. The music meant I had to have a third go with the sound turned off. I started it, died quickly, then couldn't face it anymore, so I quit MAME. I might need a day to recover from this, then I'll have another go (with the sound off). ![]() |

ARRRHHHHH!! The curse of the 4-way joystick.... If you hit a diagonal your player just stops, if you have a crap Pad dont even bother with it, just use the Keyboard. I love this game, the music is funny and level 3 is impossible if you use all you peppers I remember loving this game in my younger days, pure arcade fun.. |

Managed to get to level 4 after about half a dozen tries. In level 3, it seems easier to have all of the enemies chasing you round and round as a group rather than killing some off and having them entering from random corners. My best so far: 19450

... another convert to the ol' keyboard here! Q,A,I,O [space] .. can't have P as that seems to be pause. seems not so well emulated this one ... loads of flashy sprites and jezus only knows what he is doing when walking up them ladders ... tried with the trusty xbox pad ... hmm .. can see what you all talk about! .. that IS frustrating ... anyhoo .. 12650 (photofuckit ain't working for me .. will look at that later) |

the movement of the baddies seems to be entirely random also - I've been backed into a dead end , and the baddie has simply changed direction completely ignoring me It is growing on me , but the ladder situation is a real pain in the arse |

8350 Actually thought about nominating this game - probably the C64 or spectrum version as i remember it being popular although i cant ever remember playing it. I tried the arcade version - ie this one to see what it was like and promptly dumped the idea. For me one of the games that has not aged well with time. Will give it a bash with keys though. |

Ok , starting to figure this out after a bit of play so I've got a couple of tips Later levels get tougher , and you get no bonus for completing one - so there's no need to rush completing them Take your time, especially on the early levels as you can make a decent amount of points by luring enemies onto the same piece of burger you're on , then dropping the burger piec3e with the enemy still on - not only will it get you lots of points , it will also make the burger drop several levels instead of one Also make sure you get the temporary item , as theis will gain you lots of points and an extra pinch of pepper. Note you lose you have a finite amount which isn't replenished when you die Oh , and keep away from the bottom of the level on level 2 , as you'll be quickly cornerei |

I've found this too, if you can wonder around a bit and manage to group all the enemies together and get them walk on to a top piece of burger and 'pepper' them, then drop the burger, you seem to get a decent bonus. In theory! |

I wouldn't call it leeching,it's not leeching,it's just the normal points that you get for killing all on screen food with a burger part, and the extra points you get from picking up the ice cream that appears ,when you get a certain score,on that stage.! |

It's eight, including the life i'm using. Three as the starting default, then the five bonus lives, one for each ten thousand points scored ! "SCORING - Stacking a burger ingredient : 50 points per ingredient Crushing Hot Dog : 100 points Crushing Pickle : 200 points Crushing Egg : 300 points Collecting Ice Cream : 500 points Collecting Coffee : 1,000 points Collecting Fries : 1,500 points Dropping Ingredient with 1 enemy on top : 500 points Dropping Ingredient with 2 enemies on top : 1,000 points Dropping Ingredient with 3 enemies on top : 2,000 points Dropping Ingredient with 4 enemies on top : 4,000 points Dropping Ingredient with 5 enemies on top : 8,000 points Dropping Ingredient with 6 enemies on top : 16,000 points and so on... I think I'd agree - it's not like you can tay on one level for an indefinite period of time - and it's hard enough getting 1 enemy onto a piece of burger - if you're skillful enough to get several pieces on , surely you deserve to be awarded extra points The guy reviewng the game said it was impossibly fast 4th time around , which is only 16 screens in -= so it makes perfect sense to accumulate points on the easier levels If this is wrong , then I don't know how we're meant to play the game , unless it means completing each level as quickly as possible I guess there's a fine line between leeching and strategic play , so I think we should leave this one for the moderators to decide |

Scores updated in first post Welcome to the league :-) I used to love my Colecovision , but never had burger time for it And I'm sorry but I cant see your attachment on here , do you want to try putting it on a fileserver (photobucket seems fairly standard) , also when you post a score can you include in your message somewhere a note of what the score is (easier for me or someone else to cut n paste rather than typing from a screenshot or misreading it :-) |

Image shack is what i use,as it's very easy to use. http://imageshack.us/ Click that link above, the site will want you to click the (browse) button ,for your image, after you've selected your image, hit the "HOST IT" button. Once the image has been uploaded to that site, you'll see your picture, as a thumbnail, and lots of link text boxes,to get your picture on the Retro league, just copy the text that is in the box ,named "Thumbnail for forums (1)",then paste it in your score post,on the league. |
