34050 Damn, so close! You really begin to realise that grappling is THE way forward later on, the computer is much better in a fire-fight than circuit battles. In the end, I died because I got off the lift on a floor with 2 883s waiting there - no escape! ![]() Oh yeah, and some of the diagrams you get are excellent - poor CPU on this one:

SS, that picture is brilliant! There were only two he could have got
I actually feel sorry for the other droid.Unless it was the b@st@rd who just killed me! I got to the second ship again, and was doing great. I changed decks (to the Bridge, with my slighthly drained 500 series), and within about 2 seconds got a disrupter in the face (I started flashing), so I tried to exit the room as fast as possible as the droid was near the lift, then he flashed me again and I lost my host  1 second later he did it again, and I was terminated. I was on 27,000 and was hoping to get a new high score. I'm not happy

26200 - finished the first ship for the first time ever!VERY disappointed though to find that the second ship looks exactly like the first one (ANOTHER thing improved in Quazatron) Not sure I've got the patience to get this far again , only to be ambushed immeadiately I step out of a lift |

Yeah that's what i'd thought too as had never played the game before. trying to decide whether to play on PSP on PC, find it easier to shoot on one but easier to transfer on the other. |

Pissing me off how bullshit the head to head ae sometimes. If you both connect the same cable the last one to do it gets it. Hell does it, i've seen loads where I got it last, in many cases after they've run out of shots and they still get it. Reckon it has something to do with thether or not there's an extra arrow down the cable. Given up. |

Ermm, that's a repeater (or auto-pulsers, they are probably called). It's vital to know about them, or you will have problems. Any line with a repeater will keep the link going until the end. Those are safe ones to get at the start of the transfer game as the opponent can't steal it from you. |

and if you both have a pulsar it's important to get there first , as just to confuse things , first in wins I'm glad that I'm perfectly au fait with this system from playing them back in the day - otherwise I would probably still be scratching my head too |

I still haven't tried this yet. Why did I make a fuss about not posting a zero score
<_< I will try and give it an hour later. |

I've added a bit more info to my Paradroid site. Mainly in the new "Console" section (scoring, ship names, alert status). Click here for more details... Paradroid info I tried again at this yesterday and got to 31,000. I died in a stupid way. I had a disruptor and charged through the Mid-Cargo section in a suicidal attempt to blow up a few the easy way. The 800 series' on that deck are all immune to the disruptor (which I knew), but I still did it anyway, to try to get a few of the others. WHAT WAS I THINKING? While i'm mentioning the Mid-Cargo deck, never enter it from the lift at the left, unless you are brave. Two 800's and a 700 will probably be waiting for you as you enter - as SS discovered on his high scoring game. Time for another go I think. |

Thanks. It was the first bit of HTML I did years ago, and it's very badly done now I've looked at it again. I'll have to CSS it at some point and make it proper valid code. Anyway, the alert status is increased by destroying many droids in a short time. It's mainly done when you get a disruptor, as you can kill lots quickly. Getting to yellow status is usually all I manage. I've got to ship two about 6 times now, but I still can't beat my score from Monday. |

55,520 I've played this lots since I got my high score on Monday night, but I was fairly sure I wouldn't beat it, so I was mainly just playing for fun (though I did think I had a slight chance of getting a better score). I almost stopped playing earlier. I'm so glad I didn't! I managed to get to ship 3 - Hewstromo (nice to get to, since I'm a big fan of the Alien films and the Nostromo is from Alien). I was about 3/4 of the way through when I eventually burnt-out. I was thinking I might even get to the fourth ship. ![]() |
