Great choice , and a good one for keyboard users (is there really any other way to play it?) This one should sort the miners from the minors! |

Yes!!! With a joystick (a Zipstick in my case). I would probably have a score of 10 if I tried to use keys.
Turning off the music was one of the first things I did |

12017![]() I use EmuZWin - a good emulator that loads most games. There is a link to lots of emulators here: http://www.worldofspectrum.org/emulators.html and EmuZWin can be downloaded here: http://kolmck.net/apps/EmuZWin_Eng.htm |

I use ZX Spin which can be downloaded from the World Of Spectrum website. It's the only emulator for the Speccy I have ever used and, thankfully(!), I have not had any problems. Choice of game is the TZX format. Grr..., struggling with this one. I used to 'clock' the game many times in a row and get fed-up. Now I am finding the Warehouse rather awkward and know that Level 19 will be a real pig to do - there's a quick way (avoiding the lightbeam) and a slow but easier way which is almost impossible to undertake on subsequent visits as you run out of air! Maybe I should get some practice on these two levels by firing up my Speccy and typing in the cheat-code to choose a level!

I chose the game because I love playing it, not because I am any good at it, but have found that I've got further this week than I ever did in the time spent playing it in my youth! And it's still great fun. |

Obviously not where you guys have been!!! What on earth am I doing on this game? Does he always automatically jump when you move? I can't get him to walk normally. Clearly I'm missing a lot here. |

Um..., might it be either the emulator you are using or the version of the game/download? Alternate keys on the QWERTY row are left and right. The Z-row is jump. The A-row turns the in-game tune on/off. Other keys (including cursors) I don't know. Basically, collect all the keys and leave by the flashing exit. Some require a very precise jump to do so (Pac-Man level for one). Avoid everything that moves and everthing that is static and not a platform or stone wall/protruberance. Be wary of disappearing platforms! There are 20 Levels which repeat ad infinatum. |

Er, the EmuZwin?? I extracted everything to a Spectrum folder on my desktop, used the EmuZwin icon and browsed->loaded the game. The guy stands still but as soon as I push left or right he jumps that direction. And what am I meant to be doing, collecting those keys?? Can you kill the bad guys, any info would be great! |

This is a very odd problem, there's nothing about it in the FAQ. Try loading another game into WinZEmu and see if that is doing the same. If it is, or if you want to try another way, try ZXSpin, which is available here: http://www.worldofspectrum.org/emulators.html Just click on the download link and you should be away. |

That was laughable
I can understand for those born in the 70's that was "retro" and bought back a few memories but I'd rather wipe my bum with sandpaper than play that again. Only putting in this joke score so my nominations are in for next week. Thank you for all the help with getting it running, and maybe I'm just not getting something... but each to their own opinion, and my verdict is: Pants. Classic or not, boring and pants. 100

23457 Warehouse. And I had it sussed! Having collected everything I jumped a fraction too soon to get out of the way of the 'white lift', and it was Game Over. Next up would've been more Amoebatrons, the Power Generator and then 'Home', before doing it all again with less time available.
