For the Champs Challenge "TodayisForgotten" has chosen Rare's classic NES game : Cobra Triangle   Storyline: Put your skill and reflexes to the test at the controls of a highly modified Cobra Class Speed Boat. Push it to the limit on every level where you'll race against other boats, avoid treacherous whirlpools, battle deadly sea monsters and protect a group of helpless swimmers. Increase your boat's performance by collecting Pods which will allow you to upgrade your speed and firepower. 25 stages of high speed, river running action await you. You can download the rom from here : http://www.romnation.net/srv/download/rom/...angle-U-o1.html Lots of NES emulators available to load this game : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ninte...ystem_emulators I have found that the screen flickers quite badly in FCEUltra (my usual NES emulator) but it seems fine in most others Heres the instructions to get it running in Nestopia Download Nestopia from the main website here : http://nestopia.sourceforge.net/downloads.html (click on the Nestopia 1.37 binary file) Unzip it and the ROM file to the same folder on your machine (e.g. c:\Nestopia) and run Default controls are : Cursor keys = Movement Right shift = Select Enter = Start , = Button B (Accelerate) . = Button A (Fire) *thanks to Zaph for doing all this work so I could copy and paste it!* Scores at 12:00 on the 20th of January: Merman 86150 RS200 78800 Antiriad2097 43250 necronom 37850 a.j.green 34150 supermario 31500 |

Use (U). (E) is European, so will run at 50Hz, not as intended. (U)[b1] and (U)[o1] are 'bad' dumps. (U) should be a known good NTSC dump that'll run at full speed without errors unles introduced by your emulator (shouldn't be any - most NES emus are well advanced and accurate). |
