Yeah, it's pretty crappy of Funtown Mountain to renege on the deal. The Kickstarter only says $1000.00 donation needed. Nothing about outbidding. There are a few things about his promotional efforts that have me wondering. I mean, he's actively using Col Sanders image, and I'm really sure if YUM brands knew that, he'd be getting a cease and desist. He's also got licensed characters in that mascot head collection he's using, including Minnie Mouse and The Piggly Wiggly Pig. Both are trademarked characters that are still in use. He might need to be a bit more careful. Especially with Disney characters. But, on the bright side: If these are the Strike and Spare bots, chances are they're good for static display only. Otherwise, I'm sure he'd be using them instead of auctioning them off. $1000.00 is a lot of money for a non-working bot. Maybe he did you a favor. |

Ah, well. Never safe to make assumptions, Grasshopper. If he told you it broke, I'm guessing it was already broken. That's probably why he's willing to sell them. He made such a big deal of wanting and getting an RAE, that I think it's strange that he is so quick to use them in a fundraiser. We know that the Strike and Spare bots haven't worked in ages. It's possible those bots are just dressed up junk, mechanically. |

Is there a way you could get a picture of it? I was extremely close to bidding that reward slot once they added more goals. Even if it's broken, I could try fixing it. I have some experience in working with pneumatic cylinders...unless the bot is completely crushed or water-damaged... |

The only logical answer is to build a time machine, go back to 1984, get a job at Showbiz, and steal all the bots in the dead of night. Leave five bucks though. That's, like, a gazillion dollars in 1984 money because of, like, inflation and junk. Also, sorry you didn't get the bot. Stay persistent and keep saving: you'll get one eventually. But the money will be from the future, and creating Time fluxuations with Showbiz! it might turn Rockstar Chuck into cigar-smoking! GAHHHHHH |

I don't usually argue but i do want to say something i do find it was wrong the gave Showbizpizzafan Mitzi instead of Billy Bob and then Turned around and tried to sell Billy Bob and Fatz but i believe the owners of KFC can't do anything about the Wax figure Col Sanders since he was a Real person compared to a fake mascot like Ronald McDonald or Burger King and I believe the owners can't do anything about the Minnie Mouse and The Piggly Wiggly Pig and i believe one of the California raisins since there also not using them as mascots I believe there all going to be in a museum there or something like that and if you start a museum your usually don't need permission |

He was using a drawing of Colonel Sanders in his promotional material. On a poster. Yes, he can be sued for trademark infringement. He can certainly display any mascots, etc that he collects, but if he uses trademarked and copyrighted images in his own promotions, his butt can be sued. |
