Did You Know That Chuck E. Cheese's in Lowell, MA, East Hartford/Manchester, CT, North Toledo, South Toledo, and Akron Locations were all opened and Affiliated in 1993?
Oh the things you learn from watching CEC TV News lol :cecwink:

A lot of the New England locations are in shopping plazas, I know the one in Warwick RI. And Richmond Virginia's locations are interesting, one is stand alone and the other's in a shopping center, they're not too far away from each other too.
IKR! :P

I Recently visited Poughkeepsie, NY which is standalone.. And I've visited Virginia Beach CEC in 2012 which is standalone. Would Orange Be Standalone? :munch2:

Wilmington NC is a standalone which is currently a 3 stage, It is getting a Studio C Beta from another CEC that closed by the end of 2015 not a Circle of Lights (Somebody told the manager that).
What will happen to the 3-stage? Will they be used as parts or thrown away? Someone need to stay close-by.

I was hoping that we can salvage some part.
That rumor was proven false so Wilmington is not getting rid of their 3-Stage. And even if they did remove the 3-stage they wouldn't replace it with a Studio C Beta, they would get a Bot-less COL just like all the other 3-Stage that have bit the dust.
If they have a Studio C bot available when a store moves or dumps the stage, they install the bot. If they don't have a Studio C bot, it gets the no-bot CoL setup. That's why Matteson didn't get a bot, but Dearborn did.

Boise is a standalone location. Personally, I prefer standalone stores. They're usually bigger. They also seem to have fewer lease problems. If a store is in a mall and the owner decides they want the store out for one reason or another there's not much they can do.

It would be interesting to see how many of the really ancient stores are free standing compared to shopping mall locations.

I prefer shopping center locations. I feel like it attract's more business for the ones that are in them especially if it is in a well known one. West Hills is always busy open to close on non-school days and on school days after 2 PM most of the time due to this.

There's a downside to that too. The downside is the store has less control over the surrounding area. If the shopping center starts to go downhill, it can drive people away. There have been malls in communities that just dried up and died because something happened there that made people feel they were unsafe.

Not trying to start a argument here, but I think the same thing can apply to stand alone CEC's as well. It could happen anywhere...

That is exactly what happened to Baltimore Eastern's location. Now it's the only thing in that shopping center. All alone in a less than stellar neighborhood..
