They're almost all franchised locations.

No, they're almost all corporate these days. There are very few franchise locations. I think there's around 40 franchises, but I haven't gone through the list of stores to count them. |

Well, I was bored. Alabama: Sheffield Arizona: Ahwatukee Chandler Glendale Goodyear Mesa (both locations) Tuscon California: Fairfield Redding San Jose (Fontaine Rd) Hawaii: Honolulu Pearl City Louisiana: Bossier City Monroe Mississippi: Jackson Tupelo Montana: Billings North Carolina: Fayetteville Wilmington North Dakota: Fargo Ohio: Lima Oregon: Beaverton Salem Utah: Orem Virginia: Chesapeake (both locations) Hampton Washington: Richland Spokane Spokane Valley There are also about 30 stores with two-digit store numbers. I believe these opened as Showbiz locations. Some of them may be franchises, but there are known corporate stores on the list like Irving and Antioch, so I doubt it. |

There's more than one Antioch. I meant the one in Tennessee. Then they didn't bother to update the store numbers on the web site. Edited by 80sgirl, Jun 23 2015, 10:07 PM.

It wasn't. The Winchester store was owned by PTT. The oldest currently operating store is on Kooser in San Jose and it is corporate. Probably still using the same mechs as the original balcony show too. The franchised store on Fontaine isn't that much newer, though. Too bad it's Studio C. Edited by 80sgirl, Jun 26 2015, 03:19 AM.

Are the franchised stores generally better? I've heard some people suggest that they are. |

They can be better or worse. But if they're worse and corporate gets too many complaints the owner's franchise rights might get yanked when their contract is up. So most franchise stores try to be better. |

And some franchises are better for fans because of added benefits such as more Walkarounds. |

Yeah, my local store is a franchise location and we have a Helen walkaround. We had the Cool Chuck costume in use until around October 2014. My local store also has a hat still, and that's only a few reasons why I love my store. |

Yeah, that's pretty cool. I Like Your Avatar. It Combines the Avenger Logo with a better Duncan Design. He looks a tad like a dull knife in the sharp drawer, though. Welcome to RPZ! |

Are franchise stores the only ones eligible to get a col with a bot |

I think any store can get a bot with their COL as long as there's one available at the time. Edited by NicetuxChuck, Sep 19 2015, 09:50 PM.
