Rant: I can't stand the attention the movie Frozen has been getting for the past year and a half. Even though it is the best-selling Disney film, they have been overriding the franchise. It seems like Disney is Frozen-powered now, even though other Disney stuff is making profit too. Wreck-It Ralph was a movie produced by the same team as Frozen. It was big at the box office (like other Disney films), but was sadly "killed" when Frozen came out. Big Hero 6 came out almost 1 year after Frozen. If Frozen had the "Ralph treatment", Disney would have focused on other franchises, as they did pre- late 2013. Disney has been quiet about Ralph and Big Hero 6, because Frozen has practically dominated Disney themselves. And plus, if even Frozen is "killed", they have the Disney Princess franchise to entertian young girls. When was the last time you heard about Beauty and the Beast? Oh yeah, that one time they did that 3D remaster YEARS ago. So, the things Disney needs to do: Focus on other franchises other than Frozen Cut down on Frozen merch and other thing with the Frozen name (if they do the last one) And thank you for your time to read my rant. Leave your opinions below! Edited by PizzaPalooza, Jul 23 2015, 09:41 PM.

Make a WIR 2! I'd love to see him go through time and see A little newer stuff. |

They're remaking Beauty and the Beast as a live action film later this year. Also I agree with your rant but your about eight months to late since Frozen fever has died down... for the most part -- Edited by Till, Jul 23 2015, 10:13 PM.

Betcha the live-action B&tB would get the Ralph treatment, but probably 6 months in until that movie gets killed... |

There have been rumors floating around about Wreck It Ralph 2 for awhile. It finally got officially confirmed about a week ago. http://screenrant.com/wreck-it-ralph-2-disney-john-reilly/ As for Frozen, sometimes I think I'm the only person on Earth who still hasn't seen it. I plan on seeing it eventually, so I haven't been paying much attention to it because of spoilers. |

I actually like Frozen and if the kiddies want to buy stuff I think Disney would be a poor example of a for profit business not to sell it to them. I'm getting tired of the live action versions of the animated films. Don't see the point, really, and would like to see development put into something new and original.

Personally, I'm just happy that an actual Disney movie is getting all the attention. Usually the only ones that get anything substantial are those horrible Pixar pieces of trash. This isn't that much different from when Stitch was the Disney darling. It'll pass, either when people get tired of it or when the next big thing comes along. |

Not all Pixar films are trash. Monsters Inc, Bugs Life, and anything before the 1st Cars is great. Everything after Cars I'd just garbage, except Monsters University |

Cars was actually the last straw for me when it came to Pixar. That's when I switched from, "I hope this will turn out to be good!" to, "Let's see if there's anything redeemable in this one." |

I personally think that the live action reboots are worse than frozen. Malefecent was great and told the story from a different angle that allowed for more world building. The other reboots on the other hand...Totally the opposite in every way. In fact they might have less world building and character development than the originals thanks to the director's weird need to throw in some convoluted "adult" twist on the story. Can't say I'm too excited for any new princess movies either. :S As great as it would be to get something for little girls, it's kinda obvious that Disney's about to fall into the same trap as Marvel where they do nothing but pump out formulaic movies that only appeal to a niche audience |

The best films were from Walt's days to about 2004, when the 1st PoC movie came out. Mostly everything after then has either been princess or clichéd, like you said. |

I actually kinda like Frozen. (Granted, I haven't seen it since I saw it at the theater) all of the merchandise for Frozen hasn't really bothered me too much. It's the whole Minions craze that's going on now that I don't really care for. |
