And Aaron of course.
I remember him saying in a flyer the reason the RAE is a good fit for a theme park is that they don't need to pay licensing, and I remember a while ago Andrea said she told Aaron about the plan and he said good luck.
Also, before you say it, no. The reason he sued Snap's wasn't because of Snapper using the Rae, it was because Snapper was essentially stealing from him then sometimes reselling things.

Just remember that, just because you can buy the bots doesn't mean you have the right to do whatever you want with the characters. These characters are copyrighted to Aaron, and you might have to pay for the privilege of using them.

Thank you!
Yes I'm looking this stuff up, I hear BIM or something is the other biggest player, and I'm wondering which one to lience. but if I remember showbiz had an agreement with both.

Yes. BMI and SESAC are the other two organizations.

BMI : http://www.bmi.com/about

SESAC: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SESAC

Different artists are with different licensing organizations. So, if you only buy one license you are only covered for the artists they represent.

I had sucessful kickstarter in the past such as 3D printers. You just have to purchase from people that are well-known and smart.

I think this project will be possible, but you're looking at about $750,000 to advertise, hire, and build a restaurant, then $100,000 for the last RAE.

Call it Showbiz Pizza Place and scoop up the rights.

You could always just have some bots on display and not performing. I thought about that for a barcade, but I decided they'd probably get tampered with by drunks or creep out the clientele.

You are probably right. I imagine it'd be a tad misleading anyway. :/

The last price I heard for the last RAE was $170k

it sounds impossible, but I would really like the 1993-2012 Chuck E to also be one of the walkaround characters at RPP, and give RPP two sections themed after a decade, one section in an 80s theme while the other section is in a 90s theme

--NOTE, RETRO PIZZA ZONE IS A PLACE HOLDER NAME FOR THE RESTURAUNT. PLEASE SUGGEST NEW NAMES BELOW--

Greetings, my peeps!
I think.
after last time, I'm not sure :choochoo:

Anyway, I come to you with the....well....I don't know! its a restaurant, retro arcade, and bar. before you say, NO this is not a FEC. it isn't aimed to family primarily. that's why there is a bar. also the RAE will preform more pop hits, from all eras. with the swearing or not. but I'm getting too ahead of myself.

oh yeah. there'll be 3 main rooms (the ones usually accessed by patrons). a main dining area with a RAE. either full. mini, or moon rockers.

next: the arcade. Got to have an arcade. with several classic arcade games and pinball tables. Also a coin-operated Uncle Klunk on his own little stage. or maybe Beach bear and Dook, or something.

lastly, the bar. it's a bar. serving both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. also it'll have some "cabaret" style arcade games ( ttp://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d0/Centipede_Cabaret_Arcade_Game.jpg ) also will have more Coin-Op bots. depending on what RAE we get. either Wolfman and J-Fatz or Rolfe/earl or something. also, a Gift Shop where you could buy some dolls or maybe some CD's or something.

Advertising: studying the faults of previous places with the RAE, I decided that the major fault was the over reliance on Showbiz nostalgia. this is why the RAE isn't RPZ's main focus, but they will be present in ads. I had an idea for a local commercial called the "something for everybody" campaign. because it has, well...something for everybody!

Kickstarter: not up yet, I wanted to get all the feedbacks before putting it up.

ALT Ver: depends on what is available, it may be possible as mentioned that we will have a Mini-stage RAE and the rest of the bots in the bar and arcade. also a version with the moon rockers instead of the RAE, called the Alien Arcade.

Is this one better? please let it be! I tried so hard to fix the holes in my plans.
At least with this plan I got a few people to come back on my side.
also I know barcades work, there are many open.

Now, if you guys have any questions, please try to be polite and not shoot my plan down automatically. I think I had one automatic supporter and they said that the reason they were supporting was that everyone was being so negative.

^_^
If you want to run a buisseness you have appeal to your audience not your personal Tastes the reason Cec has changed as much as it has is to stay relevant to theIr audience which is young kids there target market dose not care about bots anymore it the games that they care about that why the show is severely downplayed as much as a small group of fans would love to see the Rae back in action its just not a smart thing to build a buisseness around

I had a thought that a Showbiz type restaurant could do well in a developing country in Africa or the Middle East/Central Asia. For one their would be little competition in terms of amusement parks or established Chuck E. Cheese's to draw customers away. Another thing is that businesses are often very reluctant to pursue legal actions in a lot of developing countries so copyright isn't as big of a deal. Arcades would be a lot more viable in a region where internet is slow and consoles are out of the reach of the average consumer. The main challenges would be keeping costs low enough to attract the average consumer and working with the local government. I'm not an expert in business though so it's just an idea I had.
