I'd say my favorite era is 2000-2004, the days when curtains were used, right after the awful "Studio" shows. My least favorite is a tire between the 1998 "Chuck E Only" aka Studio C shows, and the 2015 shows. They could be used in any restaurant, not unique to CEC |

The early 90's shows and the 2000's shows (Including some post 2012......That (with the exeption of Jan 2013) aren't rerecorded because the newer shows outweigh the poor redubs IMHO Are the best to me the Disney shows are pretty terrible (Inclduing "Destination Imagination" GOOD GOD that sucked......) and the 2015 shows are,To me miss something that even the 1998 shows had,Chuck still Emcing the whole thing (Yeah he and the band didn't sing but they where there =P ) Edited by Mario555227, Sep 1 2015, 06:27 PM.

The 1995 Disney shows are just terrible. My favorite is the late 80's ones with Scott as Chuck E.

Best Era(s): January 1992-January 1994, August 1999-April 2005, and September 2011-April 2012. Worst Era(s): The 1995-1996 Disney shows, the 1998 shows, and the current shows (March 2015-Now). |

No, they were shows that were produced by Disney and not Department 18 (who only did the programming). The Disney shows start with Spring Break (April 1994) and end with The Chuck E. Cheese Totally Awesome Kids Show (April 1996). An example of how awful they are is that the only original actor to be a part of most of these shows is Duncan (who had just started as Chuck by the time they began to make these shows). The other characters went through at least two different actors who for the most part sucked (especially the ones in Destination Imagination). They did bring Bob West back starting with Chuck E's Tall Tales (January 1996) but only to do the speaking parts for Jasper & Pasqually while someone else did their singing. I don't know if I have a specific favorite era, per se. Pretty much anything from 1999-2013 is at least decent to amazing in my book. There was no big gimmick like the 1996-1997 shows, they weren't dreadfully boring and uninspired like the original Studio C shows, and they usually had a good mix of covers, parodies, and original songs. What I did really like was in the 2011-2012 shows, they had that great introduction with the swingin' jazz melody, and they introduced all of the characters. If the shows ever go back to their semi former glory, I think that's something they should bring back for sure. I think the reason I love those shows the most is because of how much fun, effort, and heart went into those shows. Everything was on point: The music videos, the singing, the song choices, they were all amazing. Look at how much fun the characters and real people are having in those shows. For them, it was more than just a job. It was a passion. And I will admit, I'm gonna miss that style of shows greatly. I can definitely pinpoint my least favorite era(s). the 1995-mid 1996 shows, and the 1998 (Studio C) shows. Disney did so well with the shows in 1994. What made them say "Let's take everything likable about the shows... and throw them out the window"? There's trying something new, and then there's that. Since Radio Showbiz is finally back up (Bless <3), I've finally heard some of the Studio C audio and... Oooooh boy. Those "shows" sure were something alright. I genuinely want to know who sat there and thought those shows were a good idea. I'm really glad that those failed and Jeremy came in and saved entertainment. Praise the Blaido! |
