I got into animatronics, because I always loved "Die Klimbimski's" (europes first animatronic show) since I saw them on a VHS tape my mom filmed when she was in the theme park. Then I had other interests especially playing the piano because I always thought that collectors couldn't buy animatronics, that they are only sold to theme park owners, I already knew about Chuck E. Cheese's then. After a while I was watching Kenny vs. Spenny (YES I WATCH THAT ^^) and Kenny brought some kids into a canadian Chuck E. Cheese's and then I decided to find out even more about CEC and on the showbizpizza Website I got to know the RAE

Wether you find one in a church, or a pizza a parlor, a rat is still a rat..

Well, I got into animatronics because one time I was on Nintendo's Miiverse website, and someone kept posting about Dolli Dimples and how hawt she was. We were semi friends at the time and he kept telling me to look up California Here I Come.AVI I immediately turned it off as soon as I turned it on.. I also suddenly got a spiking interest of Splash Mountain and The Haunted Mansion after that, so we both pretended to like certain animatronic characters.. For me it was a goose with a top hat on splash mountain and he had Dolli. For a while that same person kept copy and pasting Showbiz Pizza articles and it just spiked my curiosity. The same night I watched the entire PTT restoration series til 2:00 AM. Here is a post I made after investigating the comment section of that video.. https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAAADVHjv9nkJbA |

Alas.. The PTT restoration series is something I watch every Christmas season. It just has that homey feel of 2007 to it. |

Well, I used to go to PTT in the early 80's, so there's that. There weren't any SPP's near where I grew up, so it wasn't until the early 2000's that I discovered the Rock-afire thanks to the internet. I've become a more serious fan in the past year. |

As much as I hate to say this... FNAF got me into animatronics. But I hate how there's always that one person who puts a FNAF comment on every CEC video. I like the concept of FNAF but it's just ruined CEC's reputation a bit. Also, I think Furbys got me into animatronics as well. Edited by Taylor The Wolf, Jul 1 2016, 10:10 PM.

FNAF got me into it. I wanted to see what real animatronics were like, so I stumbled into CEC, learned everything about that, heard the 'Rock-afire Explosion' mentioned in a few videos, googled that, got into that, and then now I'm here

FNAF got me into animatronics near me losing interest I found Jojo kings channel, so about 6 months later I had no interest then it just came to mind about jojo's channel and that's what started my interest in RAE and CEC also fnaf is a ok game but not the best so yes I like FNAF but I don't like how it portraits animatronics |

I guess it started when I went to Bullwinkle's. I had an eye for them animatronics. Plus I own a couple of Christmas animatronics... so needless to say I just like moving stuff |

Gotta go back to my childhood. Seeing the old PTT animatronics got me interested. Also have very vague memories of going into Showbiz Pizza in my childhood though I faintly remembered the RAE. I lost interest in animatronics for a long time till recently when I got into FNAF and got interested in animatronics so I began to look up videos from the old PTT animatronics and the RAE videos too. Even seeing retrofits of the animatronics too peaked my interest (including the Man and Dog show and Rocky and the Rumbling Rascals. Also there was that ohio pumpkin festival with retro fitted versions of Helen Henny and the Warblettes all non functional. I think they had Munch as a pumpkin monster too) |

FNAF. RAE and CEC reccomendations got into my YouTube after watching multiple FNAF videos, and boom, I got interested. I researched and eventually just got a general interest in animatronics. I really like the RAE and CEC though, obviously haha. I also like Teddy Ruxpin, Bullwinkle, and the Tex Critters as well as Disney. I was about to put "Dosney". Woah. |

I guess I always grew up around them. My family regularly visited Yankee Candle Village back when they had an Oompah band instead of the current bluegrass trio and I remember seeing the Melody Farms show at the Big E as a toddler (still one of my favorite shows to this day. ) I also was fond of Kahunaville, which had two giant animatronic tortoises out front. I only got into CEC in 2006 just out of curiosity, having seen commercials for it all the time. That's when I stumbled upon SP.com...

I went to Chuck E. Cheese often as a kid, so I was often exposed to the animatronic band. I also have a tendency to watch old training videos from various places, including Chuck E. Cheese. Well, one day I was watching a bunch of Chuck E. Cheese training videos and one video came up in my recommendations called "Concept Unification". I was curious about it, so I decided to watch it. After that, I had more questions than answers about the video, so I started to do some research and learned about the Rock-afire Explosion. Thus began my love of animatronics and the Rock-afire Explosion.

Five Nights at Freddy's got me into animatronics. The idea of these robotic creatures, preforming almost like real life cartoons, hooked me instantly. I knew of them at Disney Land, and other theme parks, but I didn't see many of them when I went with my cousins to a few theme parks in Orlando; or, at least I didn't fully appreciate them yet to notice. After watching multiple videos from Disney Land, Stan Winston, Legacy Effects, etc, I was hooked on the idea of this. It was just something that amazed me more then anything else so far in my life. The only problem was, you can't just go to Disney Land, or "Walt"z onto a movie set. I wondered if there were any other places that had bots, and thats how I stumbled upon CEC. CEC interested me for a while, as I took more to the 3 stage robots, and the older PTT ones. Of course digging into the older version of the band led me to stumble upon the RAE. Stumbling upon the RAE amazed me, as they were just so real and lifelike. I remember the first few weekends of discovering the RAE, I was searching the internet, watching show tapes and researching the band. Thanks to all the influences, I've decided to pursue mechanical engineering. I'm actually going to be getting some servos for a project soon, as well as either a Rasberry PI, or Aruindo. I'm not sure which yet though. Edited by AnimatronicAnimalMuse, Jul 19 2016, 01:53 PM.

I have to say, for me, my first experience with animatronics is with Chuck E. Cheese. I went there for one of my sister's birthday and went to a location with a 3 stage. Disney was my next experience with animatronics! I remember seeing the Country Bears Jamboree. I always liked the concept of talking and singing animals because it was like seeing the Muppets in person for me! |
