Was driving back home to the Boise area from my trip to Seattle and took a detour to visit the older Spokane store on Sunday. It was about 3 hours out of the way, but I only get up to that area once a year. This is (AFAIK) the only store with a PTT-era stained glass window. I knew it was Studio C and I wasn't holding out much hope it would have anything else interesting besides the window. But I decided if I didn't go see it and they remodeled before I could get back I would be kicking myself later. So I sucked it up and drove the extra 150 miles or so. Stayed about two hours and didn't get home until 4:30 AM. But it was worth it. I was completely blown away by the decor. Lynnwood has my favorite show, but this store wins favorite decor hands down. If you're anywhere near eastern Washington, this is a store worth visiting. ![]() Since this was the primary reason for my visit, I'll show the window first. It's HUGE. I would guess about 6' in diameter. The odd thing is, this store is not in its original location. The owner paid to have it safely removed and reinstalled. It's also installed so people can see it through windows on the side of the building. Someone was really proud of this work of art. The front faces the kid check area. There are big windows directly opposite of it, so it was hard to get pics without a lot of glare. ![]() ![]() ![]() Back: ![]() ![]() Detail shots: ![]() ![]() ![]() Here are some showroom shots. ![]() ![]() ![]() Showroom wall art: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Shelf displays: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Game room pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I kid you not, even the bathrooms and hallway leading to them are decorated. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And last but not least, some video of the bot. For some reason ,whenever I see a Studio C Chuck, I hear Duncan's voice, even if the Rockster footage is playing. |

The stained glass window is beautiful! I wonder when this location opened? I'm very surprised that window has survived to this point considering all the remodels the store has gone through. |

Just wish it wasn't 7 hours from me. Definitely a store I would go back to. The original Spokane store opened in Q2 of 1983. The owner must have really liked that window. Either that or they spent a lot on it and didn't want to throw it away. It had to have cost a small fortune. Stained glass is expensive and labor-intensive to make. If you look at it, there's no other reason for that wall to be there. They must have had it built just to house the window. I sent the pictures of it to Gene Landrum on Facebook. He said the windows were done by corporate, but only a few were made. How this one ended up in a franchise in eastern Washington is anyone's guess. |

Art is my passion.

Very nice decor, I really love the PTT stained glass. Makes me glad the owner cares about preserving Chuck's past and not just wanting to advertise his new era. |
