I have a few questions about the Awesome Adventure Machine stage. http://showbizpizza.com/ptp/stages/aam.html 1. How many specific months was the AAM stage in use? 2. Was the AAM show laserdisc the one and only show that was programed for this stage? I assume it was but I just want to know for sure. Thanks. |

AAM seemed like a show you would see in Disney Land. It's amazing and too bad it couldn't be in some stores... |

Not really sure there's any other info out there, sorry... But hey, AAM must've been amazing for people who saw it! I'd bet it was worth blowing their budget over!

Judging by this picture: ![]() The AAM ran the July '96 tape first (the stage debuted on August 21st, 1996, according to SP.com) and then ran April '97 (as seen in the SP.com clips). I have no idea how long it lasted, but if it lasted until April '97 (or after that) that would've been 8 months (not including August) I'm curious on a few things (hopefully Travis's e-book can clear these things up): 1. Did the AAM ever play Jukebox Jam/January 1997 or Holiday '96/7? 2. How long did construction take? Was there any kind of themed signage or covering of the stage (like a "Pardon our dust" sign) or was the entire showroom closed during the process? 3. Was there any kind of grand opening/ribbon cutting for the AAM? I know CU had a grand opening of sorts (I believe there used to be a picture from Dept. 18 with Jul cutting a ribbon) |

To answer your first question. The Awesome Adventure Machine was installed in only one location. That location was of course the OLD Dallas Montfort location. To answer question number 2. From the little we know about the stage it was using Laser Disc until it was converted to Studio C which also used Laser Disc for the first several shows but then went to DVD. Hope this helps Mr. Paul! |
