Artie, B.B, and Dolli didn't last very long (especially the first two!) but The King and The Beagles/Beach Bowsers did (lasting into 1995- that's about 12 years for The King!). Of the piano lounge acts, only Dolli had more than one show tape made for her (she got a whopping two!). Is there a reason for that or is it just a coincidence that the piano lounge acts didn't have staying power and most of the cabaret acts did? Hmm... |

It was mostly due to there being more kings being produced than the piano acts at the time. A lot of PTT opened in 1983 and by then I guess Dolli was phased out since her second showtape was made in late 82 (that's only a guess). But there were technically more kings produced (he was a more popular character after all).

I personally put them all in the same group 'Cabaret Acts' for the sake of convenience, but Dolli did stay longer for whatever reason.. It might have to do with PTTs financial problems. |

The two PTTs I went to both had Kings (which were very cool, of courses) and I never saw anyone else in person. |

What about the 1979-1980 Helen Henny Cabaret lounge show? Does it count? |

For all intents and purpose they are- a small room. It just depends on which is which based on if there's a piano act there or not. |
