Nolan Bushnell at the 2nd annual PTT Convention in Maui, Hawaii October, 1982: ![]() Notice the stylish "Smile America" shirt! There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that he had a fling with Madame Oink during a day off! ![]() I hope someone, somewhere has that giant Chuck E. balloon somewhere because I kind of want to put it in my front yard. That balloon is so cute oh my god!!! It's a shame there was probably only one made, they probably could have used them to christen new locations. |

They did use it to advertise new locations. If you look at the ShowbizPizza.com PTT photo gallery you see it in front of a few new stores that have just opened.

It's like Tully's statue, but less permanent. |

There was definitely more than one. There's an old post on KLOV that had a story about that inflatable... Seems they were opening a store in the Seattle area and either someone left the delivery truck unlocked or it was broken into and the audio equipment and the balloon were taken. The guy was in high school at the time and the police interrogated him and a friend about the theft but they didn't know anything about it. Later they went to a massive block party with really loud music and the cops came to break it up. Seems the guy was playing his music on the stolen equipment and the balloon was found dumped in a vacant lot a few weeks later. |
