I'm trying to run Mitzi using arduino, and I've used many programs like vixen lights to control her relays, but they don't work well at all. I need a program that can run an arduino and that works for animatronics. Thanks

Are you just trying to make this hard, or do you not use other systems?

The arduino is mostly a secondary thing for now. What controller are you using for Rolfe?

These guys built this controller to run a friends Billy Bob. If you contact them they can answer all your questions.

You can't record and playback movements, but you could use Scratch for arudino for testing. Basically, you upload a special sketch to the Arduino and the launch the scratch for Arduino software. You can then setup certain keypresses to control whatever pins you want.

Actually you can record and playback movements. If you look at Jason Garlands videos, his characters are all running on arduino.

Its called Scratch for Ardunio. Its the same software, but the blocks are modified to be ardunio features.

I actually use Scratch sometimes..it's super easy and you can put a script to a keypress so that's super useful(can't find tutorial for any other programming language except HTML. Already know that lol)

I'm actually developing a new animatronic control system based on Ardunio. It actually uses the same type data the graybox uses. If it works, would you like schematics? It does involve the purchase of two ardunio uno's or, for more movements, an uno and mega. You have to have a few more odds and ends as well, but the arduinos are the bulk of the cost.

I don't like to use scratch when I make games because a lot of glitches can happen randomly even if the code is perfect I payed £60 so I can get clickteam fusion 2.5 to make good games and experiment with coding

I'm developing a program that controls Cyberamics.. I'm not going to reveal anything other than that right now Though.

I use scratch on my raspberry pi, i created a softwear that plays the aong and counts in miliseconds and adds the movement number and time when you press the right button, works every time.

*uhhhh* Okay.

My program controls Cyberamics. Been working on it for almost 6 months now.

I'd definitely like to look at yours though!!

Hope I'm not reviving an old thread.
I couldn't post earlier but had to wait some days before I could finally post.
I have an SSC32 I made if you want it.
It allows you to use the low cost chinese clone arduinos to control animatronics with any software that's compatible (Like VSA) (Attiny is not compatible)

It was made for the arduino uno but will also work on the nano and doesn't need additional circuitry minus seperate power wiring for your servos. More servos would be possible with shift registers but the code does not make use of this (and getting more arduinos is cheaper and easier if you get them from ebay)

Just put the signal pins in the arduino signal outputs *starting at pin 2!!*
You could make an shield that makes plugging in more easier and clean! Up to you!

You can have up to 12 outputs from an uno. The code can be modified for the atmega to support 52 outputs... however most programs will assume it's the SSC32 and thus you can only use 32 outputs per board!

One note is that is that the SSC32 relay function is not support a of right now. My goal was never to drive hydraulics.. I use servos.

I have no idea how to properly share the code without spamming with a wall of text

But let me know! :)
