This article is a few years old but it has some interesting quotes from Dick Frank about why he decided to come onboard as CEO of ShowBiz Pizza Time/CEC Entertainment. http://www.sbnonline.com/article/master-showman-how-richard-frank-reinvented-chuck-e-cheese-to-create-one-of-the-top-names-in-children-x2019-s-entertainment/ Dick is really the man who saved both SPP and CEC from going under. Even after the merger the combined company was very close to sinking like a rock. It's kind of a miracle that he was able to not only stop the bleeding but actually make the company profitable again considering the mismanagement of both companies before the merger. In regards to Dick Frank, he resigned from his CEO post in December 2008 (succeeded by Michael Magusiak the same month) but retained a position of Executive Chairman until February 2014. This articles below indicates that after Magusiak announced his retirement, Frank was among six of the Board members who immediately resigned, so it appears Frank officially left CEC then. He enjoyed a nearly 30-year run with the company. It's pretty amazing how many years he steered the ship, both as CEO and President, and how many different eras and changes his run encompassed; the aftermath of Showbiz purchasing Pizza Time Theatre, spinning off from Brock Hotels as their own entity, Concept Unification, Chuck E. Cheese becoming a mouse, the introduction of Studio C, etc. Nice article you shared, Paul! Thanks! With ink barely dry on Chuck E. Cheese's sale, CEO says he'll step down - Dallas Morning News |

I would absolutely love to read a book by Dick talking about his experiences at CEC. That would be really, really interesting. |

Hear, hear on the book idea Paul! Even a comprehensive, multi-part interview would whet my appetite for Frank's experiences at CEC. I'll keep my fingers crossed for either or both being done, hopefully sooner rather than later!

maybe CEC will now have to get a new CEO, Hopefully will get a better one who can make new animatronic stages like the Chuck E. Live Stage with Bot and a Studio C Delta and Indev (Only time will tell). And keeping MMBB stages in stores and fixing all their problems. Edited by RPCEC, Jun 7 2016, 04:09 PM.

hm didnt know they were removing alot of mmbb stages but it was probably to save money since i believe the studio C is a bit cheaper than adding a full animatronic band every location
