Chuck e cheese's play-n-place was designed in 82 and released in 83. It says it featured 12 area's. I know the ballpit was the beagles ballroom but don't know of any others. Anyone remember? Here is the promotional ad: http://www.showbizpizza.com/info/documents/ptt/ptt_promosheets.pdf |

Most PTTs did not have anywhere close to 12 play areas. Most had 2, 3 or 4 because there still had to be room for the arcade and redemption games. There was a rope swing, a net climb, a slide, an inflatable bounce mat encased in netted walls, and a ball pit also in netted walls. My PTT had a slide, the ball pit, and the inflatable bounce mat but that's about it. Most of this stuff was removed shortly after the ShowBiz Pizza bankruptcy because it wasn't making the company any money and they needed the room for games. Check out the old newsletters and Games Examiners for some more pictures and details: http://showbizpizza.com/info/documents/ptt/index.html Edited by PaulKTF, Mar 13 2016, 04:48 PM.

Thanks. There may have been 4 areas planned that never made it past the concept stage. |

Maybe. I think some of them were only installed in one or two stores (the larger ones). The company was bleeding money really badly by that point. |

Reminds me of the infamous early 70's "children's village" playground at Ontario place. It was pretty much a play ground with concrete instead of sand. |
