Probably a silly question, but does anyone think (or know if) there are any remnants of Munch's Madhouse underneath former balcony stages? I obviously don't think it would still be in any way accessible or visible to customers, but if you were to pull away the wood from in front of an existing stage that was once a balcony setup with the Madhouse underneath, would any sort of remnants be there? Just a passing thought I had, I thought it might make an interesting conversation. |

I think when a balcony is removed they put the new stage where the old one was and tear down the rooms on either side. I don't think anything is behind the set. But beleive me, I wish there was. |

Yeah, on SP.com (I think) I read that Munch's Madhouse- the last existing one- was in a different country. I think that was the last remaining stage that had it. Not sure if it's still up though. *shrugs* Probably not. |

They would all have been removed when the stages were converted from Balcony to C-Stage/Rocker but they were all closed up by 1987 or so because they were hard to clean and kids could get in trouble because they were hidden away from adult supervision. Basically, it was a small U-shaped tunnel with carpeted walls, a black light, and a strobe light. I know this because I was in one once. You can see it (with the green PTT carpeting on the interior walls and floor) here In this picture the entrance is at the bottom right of the picture- you can just make out the sign. ![]() Edited by PaulKTF, Apr 6 2016, 06:24 PM.

Oh, okay! Thanks! And about the thing at the top, I can't really see it. Is it an image? Because I can't see it with my 3DS and when I hold my stylus over it, I don't get the box thing that appears to allow me to see the image. But if it's a video, would you mind giving me a link, please? ![]() And about what I said earlier about SP.com, I actually learned about it on the Showbiz Pizza wiki. You couldn't hear the air compressor in the Madhouse or anywhere else in the store because it was in the computer room and the door was always closed. What you *could* hear in the Madhouse was the show audio because you were right near the sub-wolfer and speakers. Pasqually is just wearing a different outfit for that show (it's the Summer '87 show). It's the same Pasqually mech as always. The first thing is a video of the 1988 "Live Show" demo video which shows the balcony stage nicely along with the entrance and exit to Munch's Madhouse (though in the video I think they're both closed up).
