Why are you looking at me funny?

So is there a story behind the name, or a reason that they're called "cyberamics?" |

First, here's some information on the history and usage of the root word "Cyber" http://blog.oxforddictionaries.com/2015/03/cyborgs-cyberspace-csi-cyber/ Since the characters are computer controlled, it makes sense. They were called Cyberamics because Disney owns the name "Audio Animatronics" (which they effectively invented it). Aaron called his animatronics Electronimation because he needed a word to use to describe them in promotional material and media (the same reason PTT coined "Cyberamics" to describe their product). http://www.showbizpizza.com/info/promo/cei/cei_1977promo.pdf It's all just different names for the same basic thing- characters that are controlled through audio signals synchronized to music or talking. There are subtle differences between Disney, CEI, and CEC's programing systems of course. Edited by PaulKTF, Apr 12 2016, 01:18 PM.
