Wether you find one in a church, or a pizza a parlor, a rat is still a rat..

So, my CEC Poughkeepsie experience went something like this.. To start off, Poughkeepsie is a very very small location. It opened in 1992, has a 1 stage, pretty nice employees, and it's all phase 3. The showroom is straight ahead from the entrance and the games are to the immediate right, and the kiddie area is to the immediate left. ![]() Phase 3 sports signage ![]() Phase 3 parody poster ![]() What I'm guessing is another phase 3 or 4 poster. It was a two hour drive to get there for us, and when we did I suddenly felt panicked as I walked in and while at kid check realized Gamin Time was playing and the bots were completely static. We got over there and ordered some pizza, it got out pretty fast and was pretty good. Me my family and my friends watched as Rainy Day played and the animatronics shut off from random mode and stopped moving completely. an employee about the show and they were pretty nice about it and they went to talk to the tech. The tech was very friendly and obviously really cared about the animatronics and didn't want them to go. He said that after Apollo bought out CEC they didn't always get the programming for the new shows on time, and apparently he hadn't gotten it yet. We talked a bit and after a live show he put in the last show and when Keep Drumming started, they seemed to register now but they were struggling throughout and Munch and Pasqually's mouth stayed open the entire time. Jasper's strum hand went limp after one strum and then he opened his mouth and leaned forward. Giant Armadillo named Phil was when they all just completely gave up. The show lights randomly shut off during the song and the characters would all suddenly freeze as well. They kept their mouths wide open after speaking as well. ![]() The struggle of Giant Armadillo. There mouths are wide open and didn't move again after they did open. ![]() My absolute favorite fruitcake dog ^^ He even went as far as to play the diagnostics and try to fix some of the movements for me to see if that had anything to do with it, and they stopped registering to any sort of programming after Giant Armadillo. He talked to me and my mom about the screwed up system of getting parts from corp and how old the character cards were and how Corp is getting rid of the shows left and right. He said their computer's been messed up for a while as well and that's a contributing factor in this. I went to play some more games and after he gave our party of people 1000+ tickets as compensation for a broken show! Super nice employees! That gave me about half my tickets for the Chuck E Cheese plush I won. I do have to say though that Walkaround Chuck wasn't super enthusiastic. Definitely not the worst I've seen, but no where near the best. There weren't many games but I had a pretty good time. Happy I went. Next locations I'd like to visit are Springfield MA and Latham NY. Here's a video of the show in its current condition: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nbAGvn5KJcs Didn't get a video of the show playing when the old show was put in, sorry. I'd say if you're close by, feel free to check it out, but if you're far it's bests not to visit til confirmation their show is all fixed up. http://m.imgur.com/yoLeWXR,kDbnMhh,kbIONx5,7Xaz7Q0,ryiEJWw,nIo6XKY Edited by Joeh2, Apr 28 2016, 12:35 PM.

Sweet post. The memorbilia on the wall gives that awesome TGI fridays feeling. That suck what happened to the animatronics. Sounds like a really cool tech to have a convo with. |

Thanks. I'm gonna go back over the summer and see if they've got the show working any better. |
