Choo-Choo, Sun, And Moon are the original non-bootleg masks. Antioch was there but then his motor broke and he was removed. They indeed bought their show from Aaron and was never a Showbiz, always being Billy Bob's Wonderland. They fixed the curtains but then when they came in the next morning the chains were all tangled and messed up, so they disabled them. The Bootleg masks are indeed much thinner and shoddily painted, and they disabled Beach Bear's mouth since the bootleg mask was already damaged. Dook seems to be following suit, as you can see the lever through the mask The tech is indeed very capable. They might take a few weeks to restore the show as best they can with what they got. They will use the old, official masks restored with Nylon Mesh and Liquid Latex until they can get new, non bootleg masks. I indeed saw the inside of the tech's office and they have the original cosmetics, the ones that jumped out to me immediately was a Beach Bear mask and a Billy Bob arm. The new show program with the button is from 3 people. One that i forgot, one person "With a Rock-afire in their garage" (Implying Christopher Thrash but according to Ryan it was not), and a man who owns a public RAE in Texas that's retrofitted with Texan themed cosmetics. They might contact Andrea to restore the costumes. The employee's seem to be on Aaron's side but said they were vague on the details. They have all the official walkaround costumes, Besides Mitzi. And last but not least, the Employee's (mainly Manager Ryan and Samantha) were some of the nicest, most understanding, and willing to listen people i have ever met! Note, during a PM session on facebook with an employee named Carissa said that she'd tell the mask worker (Josh), but told me to "Keep in mind, the masks are 30 years old" Edited by WF72, May 8 2016, 10:52 PM.

I'm sorry, but a lot of info here is incorrect... there is NO motors in the RAE besides the ones that run the chains to the curtains. Antioch runs off of a tolomatic pneumatic cylinder and Looney's raise does too. The show currently there is not the show that they originally bought from Aaron, it's the Ashland, KY Billy Bob's old show. Billy Bob's Wonderland isn't even if 30 years old, so the masks can't be either or that would be violation of Aaron's contract of Showbiz Pizza that they could only sell the show to Showbiz Locations. The contract was later changed when showbiz wanted no more shows. (1985 or so) It couldn't have opened during then. And he was in contract to Pistol Pete's and Peter Piper's Pizza at 1986ish... and Billy Bob's Wonderland changed the masks MULTIPLE times. If they had the same ones since the place opened... it would look worse than the old Guatemala location's masks... and they don't respect the correct temperature for a RAE to run at Billy Bob's either... The masks are less than 10 years old. They replaced the masks on the show with the old Ashland location's masks (which had little to no damage) and ran them for a while. They bought the old Looney Bird mask from eBay after the Ashland one began to melt and gain holes. Now, another thing is that they CAN'T legally hire Andrea without Aaron's permission or else Andrea COULD IN FACT lose her job at CEI because Aaron frowns on that kind of stuff... as for the walkarounds, most are nasty colors and haven't been brushed or dry cleaned for YEARS... as far as I know, they only use Dook, Beach, and Billy because the rest are severely melted. they should get new masks for the walkarounds and take better care of them. |

The walkarounds are not severely melted since they have been seen in parades and such. Also they said they were 30+ years. Also I meant BBWL in general, not just that location. I asked them again and they said he mistenterpreted me, it was a Showbiz before hand. Also they're not at the right temperature? You need to be a certain temperature to run the show? Pistol Pete's did not have a contract with Aaron to not sell shows, they had a contract to BUY 20 shows. Also, who are you to say that they are the ashland KY characters? Oh and the temperature. That literally doesn't matter unless it's above 80 degrees. Everyone acts like they know how the characters hold up until they actually get one and realize "oh they don't break if i touch them and the masks don't melt if it's 1 degrees too hot". Though keeping the temperature low will make them last longer, there is no preventing the wear that will come with running a show. |

Billy Bob does not have his Ashland mask anymore. It was ripped so badly that they had to replace it. It got even worst after this picture right here.

So call me crazy, but what (besides funding) would be stopping the employees at BBWL from "personally" purchasing masks for their bots from Aaron, if they are on his side?? And, "technically" with it being almost 2017, the bots could be from 30 years ago; what I mean it has been 30 years since 1986, when SPT terminated their contract with CEI (based on the comments from this post). And I can think in my small mind of many ways that BBWL could "pirate" their own masks if they wanted to completely cut ties with other mask providers (although obviously it would be illegal); instead, it sounds like they have opted to refurbish their current official masks until they get a chance to purchase new "official" masks from CEI. I don't want to start an argument, just point out that if the employees were on the side of Aaron, I think they would be able to purchase the masks directly from him; and who knows, maybe they are saving money so they can, and maybe that's why they plan to refurbish the official masks. |

Employees probably aren't in a position to buy masks and why would they want to? They're just employees trying to make money, not spend it. It's up to the owner to buy whatever the show needs. If I'm a cashier or kitchen staff or game tech or whatever, I really don't care about the show and I certainly wouldn't want to spend any of my own money on fixing it because I'm there to earn money, not spend it on the show. The real problem is that they're trying to keep a show up and running and looking cosmetically good when they've burned their bridge to the only person who can really help them do that well. If I were them I'd dump the show altogether and replace it with a TV showing Disney Channel or Nickelodeon. I doubt the show really affects their bottom line in a positive way anyway. I would agree with you. If I am working for a company, I am doing my job, not my hobby or passion. When I am done for the day, I am going to go home and play video games, watch tv, cook dinner, etc. I am trying not to think about work. And why would I want to spend my money on my job? I am there to make money not spend it. So I do see your point. As I mentioned, at this point the bots in that show (not even thinking about cosmetics) are more than 30 years old. Technology has come a long way since the RAE was in it's prime. Even a car, after 20 years of perfect maintenance, is going to start breaking down and have to be replaced. Only collectors, in general, have cars that are more than 30 years old. Now BBWL, neither staff nor owner, is not a collector of RAE. They do not have the ulterior motivation to keep this RAE in pristine condition. I realize that the RAE has become a collectors item, but at BBWL they are not in collectors condition. Pieces can be replaced, but they will All that being said, I am in agreeance with PaulKTF. They could make more profit if they changed their focus from the bots to another genre, but then it would not be BBWL and how would would see the RAE in public? |

BBWL make all their money on the food and games. I imagine most people don't pay attention to the show, so why spend any more money on it? It's 30+ years old. The RAE was meant to be installed at a ShowBiz where they had support from CEI that still had 200+ employees manufacturing parts and cosmetics. Those days are long over and they aren't coming back. At this point, any old animatronics show is a money pit with almost no benefit to the business from a financial standpoint. Dump the show and use the money you were spending on fixing the show on repairing games and acquiring new games that can actually bring in money. Edited by PaulKTF, Nov 9 2016, 11:35 AM.

Rock-afire Pizza in Indio CA eventually replaced their RAE Show with large TVs playing sports. I wouldn't be surprised if BBW eventually trashes their stuff.

Then again Rock-afire Pizza was no where as bad as BBW. The condition is more compatible to Scandia Golf and Games but the air pressure was a lot lower. |

Aaron fixed it up nicely, and then I think the place changed ownership and the new owners did no maintenance on the show and it got to be in such bad condition that they removed it. Edited by PaulKTF, Nov 10 2016, 05:06 PM.
